Crooked Smile yeah but he shouldn’t have trademarked the original Cannibal Corpse Band Logo that he designed back in 1988 then they could’ve kept it all along. To me their current one is just flat.
@@blackrider7040 he posted that 5 years ago when chris still sounded half decent lol nowadays its like he doesnt care enough to try, he even looks out of it at the shows

This has to be one of the greatest metal albums ever. So heavy and intense. I'd rank it alongside the best of Sepultura, Pantera, Death, Exodus, Slayer, Destruction, Kreator et al.
My favorite SFU album!!! I fuckin love this shit!!!! Got to meet Barnes after a show in Sacramento back in the day. Smoked a joint with him, got some cool pictures, super nice dude. Great show, great memories. 🤘🏻☠️🤘🏻
So cool! I smoked a joint with Gene Hoglan (!) after a SYL show years ago! I was honored to be included in the circle among metal legends! 🤘🤘🤘 Crank up the volume people! 🤘🌝🤘
Fantastic album. SFU never fails to please. If you don't get their music, you likely never will. If you are one of those whiney shits who thinks it's sub-par death metal, I feel sorry for you. This band has hit hard from day one.
Their death metal is by no means sub-par in this release and Haunted... The problem lies with people's expectations. People thought that this band was supposed to be a continuation of cannibal corpse but SFU's style is for a completely different audience... SFU are for people who enjoy their death metal slower and more mid tempo, they are for fans of bolt thrower, asphyx, autopsy and the likes, without copying any of the mentioned bands styles. Six feet under's palying is unique with powerful dynamics and catchy as hell!
I liked six feet under when I was a kid and I was always a little embarrassed of it. I hadn't listened to this album in years, and fuck all that, this is still great! You can tell they had fun with it when most metal bands take their shit way too seriously. War machine was the first song i learned on bass, didn't even know it was kiss then, ha. solid. Holds up. Etc.
This is my first day listening Six Feet Under. I tried with another albums, but some of them are boring or really bad... But this... This album is really cool, brutal, amazing. Great vocals, rhythms, bpm's, riffs. Wow.
I forgot that this album had three covers included in it. I love the structure of this album. It was well made. Of course, not like the first two. But, it had its own identity. Long live Six Feet Under! 3:)
Mesguggah is heavier than most death metal. One of the heaveust bands on earth. I don't think war metal is that heavy like elitist claim. Only portal, and blackend death metal occult crazy stuff and cannabal corpse can match meshuggah. And some sludge metal bands.
War machine's great cover reveals the core of SFU. Love and respect to the genre itself. Sadly, this is the reason this band is underrated. Who wants to hear about LOVE from death metal??? But of course... I love it.
Exactly....thank you for stating that. I have all SFU and CC dics, DVDs , box-sets and they all absolutely rock. Fucking tired about Chris Barnes v/s George Fischer crap. Both bands are great - the music is always fantastic. So let's quit the petty nay-saying crap and just enjoy the music.
I am 12 and what is this? No, seriously. Maximum Violence was my first encounter with Six Feet Under. A friend let me borrow this album in high school and I fell in love immediately. 1999 feels like a lifetime ago....

People can give 64U records shitty reviews all they want, and mock Barnes, but he's always done whatever he wants, and will continue to. In a genre where speed supposedly dicatates brutality, Barnes slows it down. Releasing an album of covers isn't good for business? Barnes releases a bunch. You can't mix rap with Death Metal? Who says and why? Who has more Metal attitude, a musician that is scared to try something out of fear that they won't "fit in," or somebody who consistently does whatever the hell they want? Barnes and 64U win out every time
I'm just waiting for the day where people wont start a massive fan boy/ overly pretentious metal head discussion.
