Megatron was supposed to give up in Dark Of The Moon. I didn’t hear the full thing but basically someone spoiled a leek too early which Michael Bay was PLSSED about it. So then he had to keep going up to The Last Knight which after that movie was released he retired saying “I made too many movies”.
