As a fire apparatus enthusiast and photographer, I really appreciate the older rigs. I would love to have been able to pose and photograph all these classics! However, I was only 20 years old in 1976 and was more interested in carousing and bar hopping. I'm now 68 and sorely miss the better times!!
I remember it well because we lived outside Philly and lived in a house built in 1776 and went to valley Forge to see a bicentennial program with my mom and a friend. Brings back many memories of that time. Maybe by some luck I’ll get to live to 112 for the tricentennial and tell my kids and grandkids all about it .
Very cool. Best year ever. Love the GMC RV as an ambulance-first time I’ve seen one of those. Me so many IH pickups and Travelalls being used then! IH never should’ve stopped making those.
My grandparents lived in the house next to the grocery store with the yellow sign. I'm sure they had their lawn chairs parked right out in front. ❤😊
There’s a definite flavour to these old films . Cheers mate. 👊

I think 1974 was it for the Int'a. The Transmode is a Wolf Coach.
