I know its an old video to comment on but I wanted to thank you since I plan on doing this exact upgrade to a PASGT that Ive just gotten. Thanks so much!
While watching the video I noticed 2 mistakes. 1) The chin strap being instaled before the liner. the liner should be as close to the shell as possible so it would benefit you more if you attached if after the liner. 2) The 2 front screws on the chin strap should be on the 2 front screws on the helmet and not on the ones on the ears. That way it's more stable and confortable (something of course you would benefit from).
See, that's what I thought. I was looking through a whole bunch of pictures and videos trying to figure out if the 4 point strap should use the ear holes or the temple holes. Issue with mine is the cheap one I got (for a costume) is a tad too short when mounted to the temple holes.
Just found a surplus PASGT for cheap at a surplus store. I bought a pad set and chin strap upgrade and the tru-spec cover for it. Took out the liner not realizing the cover attached to it. Now I need to figure out how to put the cover on without the original liner because it’s so much more comfortable without it.
Try the Oregon Areo BLSS ugrade kit for the PASGT. A little pricey but oh so comfortable. www.oregonaero.com/helmet-upgrades/ballistic-helmet-upgrades-ordering
@@Chief-CO the band should be elastic enough to hold on it’s own did you buy a genuine cat eye band? The bands do have a tendency to come up on there own that’s why they have those Velcro type snap buttons to keep the band low on the helmet etc
The video is great but the only thing wrong is that the chin strap from the front should be where the liner is attached and not in the old chin strap location. If that was done then it would become a LWH.

Stick dhe velcro on the tips of the cover retainers to the velcro inside the helmet and then on top of that put the pads
Where do I go to a buy a new suspension? I got a good deal on a helmet but it's a little small and I'm hoping a new one would help
Good video thanks

Is that the USMC gentex retention system? I'm looking to fix my lwh
