Late to this video but it might help to take regular breaks to wipe off the stuff coming out of your pores too! I read something about causing tiny scratches in the skin from rubbing the "grits" back into your skin (don't quote me tho I'm an internet random heh).
IMO the best way to reduce your pore size is to get a good night's sleep :) I notice a massive difference in how large my pores look/how oily my skin is when I am tired vs well rested. Sleep is one of the best things you an do for your skin and health in general!
So true and so frustrating for an insomniac 😱 Fortunately, I have nice skin so the genes are still covering it up. Unfortunately, very difficult to fix a sleeping disorder. Also I have never used an essence. Is it really so important?
Retinol is one the highest and clinically studied items for blackheads and sebaceous filaments. Once you add that in, you'll take half the steps out of your routine... trust me!!
I decided to try oil cleansing during the night for the first time and omg call me crazy but I noticed the difference immediately! Specially with the pores around my nose, they look much better!! I’m still struggling with skin texture though but it feels nice to finally get the pore situation much more controlled. Thank you for the advice! ❤ the Muji cleansing oil is now a must in my nighttime routine!
I feel like I see many MANY videos of people talking about skincare for super oily skin, ( I feel like more people probably struggle with oily skin than dry skin?) But I'm SO glad I finally found a good video, I've struggled with super dry skin particularly on my face for years and have tried to many different things (most of them being targeted towards oily skin so in the long run not working for me), I just ordered a few of these products you recommended and will be starting my new skin journey today. Wish me luck!
This oil cleansing massage procedure is the EXACT procedure I have been doing for 15 years nightly to apply benzoyl peroxide 2.5% gel to combat acne. I have always considered the dramatic improvement in pores to the gel. I guess the massage is the real magic.
idk how this got on my recommendations but i am LISTENING!!! i don’t have much acne, so texture is my biggest problem ♡ will be taking this advice and seeing how it works
I love that shade of shadow on you, I have tried many times to wear peachy orange shades on my lids and it never works out right, we are close in complexion as well but I may have a more yellow undertone. Beautiful, and your skin is fabulous! 😍😍
I don’t use a clay mask only because I’m lazy and hate the process of washing it off so instead I like to use a BHA (I use the Paula’s choice 2%) the night before I do a deep oil cleanse or right after! (I only oil cleanse at night because I don’t wanna be double cleansing in the morning.) this really helps me get a lot of build up from my pores

I want to use it, but it's not vegan or cruelty free :( Luckily there are alternatives with the same active ingredients like Purito Galacto Niacin 97 Power Essence and Cos De Baha Galactomyces serum
Have you tried a retinol for sebaceous filaments? The ordinary granactive one worked soooo well for me, i had them before on my nose and now theres no brown or black 🤗, retinol is a game changer!

I am a big fan of glycolic acid. If you’ve never used chemical exfoliants start with a low percentage. I like the Raya Calendula Toner. After a few weeks try a pure glycolic acid peel in 20 or 30 percent for 1-2 mins. Do this once or twice a week and you will have literally perfect poreless skin that slows/reverses appearance of wrinkles and rarely gets breakouts. I also have surface scars from past acne that have improved a lot. My skin looks younger now than 5 years ago (I’m late 20s)
I have sensitive-dry skin and for me the trio of chemical exfoliant, couple with a deep cleanse twice a week, and a daily super moisturizing skincare routine has been working wonders on my pores which I thought would be so large for the rest of my life. Also surprisingly, retinol in small quantities has been helping my overall skin texture including pores. On a side little note, the essence I have been discovering in 2022 that is dethroning any essences for me and became a cult favorite, is the Aestura Atobarrier 365 hydro essence. It is so incredibly hydrating and takes such great care of my skin barrier that I can't recommend it enough.
@@tsukihimeasmr Hey! yes of course! Keep in mind that my skincare routine is always a WIP but I can share with you how it right now: AM: - I cleanse with the Bioderma Créaline H2O TS, very gently with a super soft fabric-reusable pad - Aestura Atobarrier 365 hydro essence (you can layer it as many times as needed) - RoundLab Soybean serum - RounLab Soybean nourishing cream - Dr.G Red Blemish Soothing Sun up sunscreen SPF50+PA++++ PM: same the only difference is the cleansing step - First I remove my makeup with the Ma:nyo pure cleansing oil - Then double cleanse with the Dr.G PH cleansing gel foam The rest is the same, essence, then serum then cream. Twice a week I exfoliate with the Beauty Of Joseon Green Plum Refreshing Toner: AHA + BHA (I don't use my reusable pads unless my skin is very textured), and add an extra step in-between the essence and the serum and I add the Goodal Green Tangerine Vita C Dark Spot Serum. I hope this helps. I am 30yo so I have fine lines concerns and slight rosacea that I keep all at bay with this very gentle routine.

Hey Tina. Could you please do a make up tutorial for this look because I literally cannot stop staring. You are glowing and i need to know the blush too!!
Nice tips! I also have dry, sensitive AND acne prone skin (ugh) and my holy triad of chemical exfoliants are: AHA10% by The Ordinary, Salicilyc Acid by Selfless by Hyram (amazing results, especially on the sides of the nose!) and the Rainbow Retinol Serum by Hyram again. They are gentle enough for my sensitive skin, but also effective enough for me to notice results after about 3 weeks. But I always make sure to not over-use them, or use them night after night, as it can be counter-productive (sensitized skin). :D
Love the Neogen essence! I think it’s better than the SKII… I felt that finishing my expensive bottle of SKII was more of a “chore” than Neogen. (Obvs. had better results too!)
Oily-sensitive skin that actually doesn't get greasy here. My go-to are gentle chemical exfoliants (AHA being a favourite of mine) and cleansing products that don't create much foam (more gel like or oil cleansers and such). I know that most of us has the idea that more foam = more cleansing, but for certain skin types, foam destroys skin barrier and doesn't help at all. That's my sharing moment for you 🌻
I started using the Isntree mask this year and the herbal smell is sooo nice 😍😍 chemical exfoliants can be a bit much for me - too many options, so I just bought this neutrogena acne serum that has an aha, bha and pha all in one so I don’t have to fuss around. Super simple and it’s been ok so far 😊
For the USA, I highly recommend the salon brand European Wax Center body and face exfoliant. I have been using it for 45 years and It works wonders. Their products are only available at the salon.
you are sooo gorgeous! just dropping by to say that the dermatologica powder exfoliant is the only exfoliant that i use. the paula's choice and BHAs are always too strong on my dry, sensitive skin. i highly recommend it! pricy, but a lot goes a long way. the sample size lasts for at least 6 months

I was in Los Angeles, California visiting, I stopped in Korea town ...and spotted a outside hang out spot , like a outside mini mall full of Japanese and Korean culture: I bought so much Japanese skincare products... I am African American...and the face lotions , the face toners, the face emulsions , the face washes..all of it worked on my skin... I'm 30 years old...and never saw my skin so flawless..so soft even when I'm not putting nothing on my face....just flawless....I used a few Korean products up to 2 weeks... The softness and dullness was gone less than that time.......I suffer with large skin pores... Those got tighter, I suffer with dull skin, my face got brighter in 2 weeks or less. I suffer with a 15 year old face tan from the sun.... That went away from using any Korean Brighting face wash....they got a few.. to choose from....but don't be discouraged, there products are gentle and safe...so even if you didn't get the correct one ...that brightens the best...it still is worth buying for it's low prices....if your buying there products that's over 30 dollars...those are the ones that brightens the fastest... (Brighting Faces washes.)... And they don't lighten the skin..they simply remove years of dull dark layers of old sun tans.....I'm looking like I have my 15 year old skintone back.... Because I would always forget my sunscreen...!! I suffer with dry patches on my checks from using harsh soaps on my face...I didn't know was causing this problem.... That was taken care ....from using any of there emulsions and face lotions. Emulsions and lotions are pretty much deep face mositurizers but they are not oily! They glide on nicely on the face and neck , and dries instantly...making your face feel soft like baby powder... silky soft..with no grease look, it feels like your wearing aloe vera on your face...none greasy products. And you don't really have to wonder which ones to buy. I bought a few and I love switching them up throughout the week.... I'm so in love.... the greatest thing about all Korean skincare is, you see results,, and also, I tried using Korean shampoo . My hair is african-a puff ball... Curly ,can break easily if it's not moisturized...I literally thrown away all my black girl hair products 😆 Korean hair products even saved my hair. ...my hair looked so healthy.... . In 1 wash.... Now I got my African American mother using everything....... ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ I am just still shocked........ Fast results, safe products that cater to sensitive skin.,.. And the best hair products ??? Amazinggggggggg.

Disagree on the time to results on chemical exfoliants. I get instant (overnight) results when applying AHA at night once a week, and continued results when applying salicylic acid after shaving in the morning. Also, nightly application of adapalene gel will keep your skin turnover in check so your pores will never "clog".

When you got sensitive Rosacea Malassezia Folliculitis skin and know you can’t use any of this, yet you still watch it😭😭😭 If anyone out there like me who can’t tolerate AHA/BHA, I highly recommend Azelaic Acid gel cream from the Ordinary. Not a the Ordinary fan, as none of their products works for me. Only made my skin worse (not purging, but breakouts as in contact dermatitis, fungal acne and broken skin barrier), but the Azelaic Gel Cream, I like, and can use without much problems. I also stay far away from Asian Skincare aka Jbeauty and Beauty. Too many essential/plant derived ingredients/oils, and too many actives, and I’m “Asian”.
I know right! I have the same problem with any AHA/BHA or essential oils. What product do you use for double cleansing? If I rub my face to much my rosacea get horrible 😣
For Rosacea, stay away from all acid or base. They’re too harsh for the skin. Charcoal clay mask is helping me but I need to wash it off while the mask is still wet.

Sleep is one of the best things you an do for your skin and health
in general!
So true and so frustrating for an insomniac 😱 Fortunately, I have nice skin so the genes are still covering it up. Unfortunately, very difficult to fix a sleeping disorder. Also I have never used an essence. Is it really so important?
sometimes i think this is literally the only valid skincare advice ever bc it always works
Also ample hydration before sleep
not having a makeup tutorial for this look is a crime like THE GLOW OMGGGGG
Retinol is one the highest and clinically studied items for blackheads and sebaceous filaments. Once you add that in, you'll take half the steps out of your routine... trust me!!
If you can't tolerate retinol (peeling, dryness, sun sensitivity) you can get similar benefits from bakuichoil (i think I spelled that right, lol.
What ur retinol brand
Very true. Oil cleanse, wash, light moisturizer, retin a. Optional: moisturize after actives. Done!

I tried deep cleansing with my oil cleaner tonight and OMG THE DIFFERENCE! 😭🙏 you’re recommendations have changed my skin once again thank you!! 💜
あなたのことを初めてこの動画で知りました!私にとって英語の発音がとても聞きやすくて、英語の勉強にもなるし、あなたの素敵なスキンケアについても知ることができました。ありがとう!
I guess the massage is the real magic.
she is so pretty without makeup 😭😭 it looks so soft
idk how this got on my recommendations but i am LISTENING!!! i don’t have much acne, so texture is my biggest problem ♡ will be taking this advice and seeing how it works
Me, the same.
In fact, the clay mask for some reason gives me a horrible allergic reaction. I had to give away all I own.
After you use oil cleansing do you use form cleanser?
@@heaven4097 yes I do!! The oil cleanser is always my first step in double cleansing and using a foam cleanser after ensures I remove everything without leaving any residue. (For reference I have oily, acne-prone skin)
@@Minaaamiido you use the BHA everyday?
@@_hiba_3079 ABSOLUTELY NOT!! The directions say to use twice a day but I cannot stress this enough, PLEASE DON’T!! It’s way too strong to use daily. I use it maybe 1-2 times a week at most or just when my pores start feeling congested. And be sure to just use it at night! I don’t like how it feels on the skin but it works well so I just continue to use it.
Your videos are very uplifting and lively. Thank you for putting products on your face to demonstrate. Your skin is lovely and dewy.
Your makeup looks soo stunning! We need a makeup tutorial!!
I’m graduating business school then going to medical esthetician school, I know exactly what you meant by taking time to melt the cleanser. c: it’s the best feeling ever!! Sparkly skin is worth it!!
I have heard it called oil pulling when using an oil cleanser for an extended period of time. Some have recommended doing it for 6-10 minutes.
This video is more appropriate for dry skin ❤️❤️
my face was bumpy when I watched this so I tried deep cleansing with my facial wash and my face became really smooth thanks for the advice!
Omg so as soon as I finished watching this I went to deep cleanse! This was the first time I have ever spent 5mins on my oil based cleanser and the results were amazing! My pores are so much clearer! So happy I learned this and can get the most out of my oil cleanser now. Thank you!
i’m deeply loving your makeup in this video, it’s so glowy and it makes your skin look like a porcelain doll🥹 could you please make a make-up tutorial? i would love to see it💌
Prolly some cushion foundation
Agreed ! Would be nice for her to list what makeup she’s wearing
Oh na 💀
i actually went to try with whatever i have at home. Sweet almond oil from Now Foods as a cleansing oil. did it for 6 mins. washed off and used my usual face cleanser. the put on the Now Foods European Clay mask for about 10 mins. was quite sketptical but omg it does work wonders to make the skin smoother!! Thank you for the wonderful advice!!
Okay but her skin looks amazing
SK II is SO SO worth it! I pour a little in one hand, so I don’t waste it being soaked in to a cotton pad. It makes an amazing difference. I’ve used it for about 5 years and always notice when I stop using it. Great video thanks. I’m new sub
I want to use it, but it's not vegan or cruelty free :(
Luckily there are alternatives with the same active ingredients like Purito Galacto Niacin 97 Power Essence and Cos De Baha Galactomyces serum
Have you tried a retinol for sebaceous filaments? The ordinary granactive one worked soooo well for me, i had them before on my nose and now theres no brown or black 🤗, retinol is a game changer!

THANK U SO MUCH- I used an oil cleanser and massages it into t-zone for 3-5 mins and I can feel a huge significance- my skin feels so much smoother than before- I suffer with a lot of build up in my pores especially in my t-zone and u helped me a lot. Thank you
GIRL YOUR SKIN LOOKS AMAZING
I am a big fan of glycolic acid. If you’ve never used chemical exfoliants start with a low percentage. I like the Raya Calendula Toner. After a few weeks try a pure glycolic acid peel in 20 or 30 percent for 1-2 mins. Do this once or twice a week and you will have literally perfect poreless skin that slows/reverses appearance of wrinkles and rarely gets breakouts. I also have surface scars from past acne that have improved a lot. My skin looks younger now than 5 years ago (I’m late 20s)
What is the name of the glycolic that you use, I am from Egypt
How do you do a glycolic acid peel? Is it a service to get done or do you do it at home?
I have sensitive-dry skin and for me the trio of chemical exfoliant, couple with a deep cleanse twice a week, and a daily super moisturizing skincare routine has been working wonders on my pores which I thought would be so large for the rest of my life. Also surprisingly, retinol in small quantities has been helping my overall skin texture including pores.
On a side little note, the essence I have been discovering in 2022 that is dethroning any essences for me and became a cult favorite, is the Aestura Atobarrier 365 hydro essence. It is so incredibly hydrating and takes such great care of my skin barrier that I can't recommend it enough.
i have the same type of skin !! could you please list the products you use or even your detailed skincare routine ? thank you so much if you do 🥺🫶🏻
@@tsukihimeasmr Hey! yes of course! Keep in mind that my skincare routine is always a WIP but I can share with you how it right now:
AM:
- I cleanse with the Bioderma Créaline H2O TS, very gently with a super soft fabric-reusable pad
- Aestura Atobarrier 365 hydro essence (you can layer it as many times as needed)
- RoundLab Soybean serum
- RounLab Soybean nourishing cream
- Dr.G Red Blemish Soothing Sun up sunscreen SPF50+PA++++
PM:
same the only difference is the cleansing step
- First I remove my makeup with the Ma:nyo pure cleansing oil
- Then double cleanse with the Dr.G PH cleansing gel foam
The rest is the same, essence, then serum then cream.

Of all the products mentioned, i’ve used the cosrx products and the Japanese keane rice face mask. Cosrx products are all really good. There ‘s a whole pack of rice mask(not sheets\) available of the keane rice mask. they are Really good. you will definitely see a difference in your skin. i have the worst oily pimple skin with enlarged pores on may T zone. i love the keana rice face mask.

your skin is glowing like literally
Love the Neogen essence! I think it’s better than the SKII… I felt that finishing my expensive bottle of SKII was more of a “chore” than Neogen. (Obvs. had better results too!)
What type of skin do you have? I have dry and I felt like it left me dry still
Have you tried the neogen mist?
Oh really? Interesting, since they use different ferments. What's your review on the effects of bifida vs saccharomyces vs galactomyces ferment?
Your skin is glowing!
I really appreciate the scientific explanation of ingredients and which products are better for oily vs dry skin!

♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
I am just still shocked........ Fast results, safe products that cater to sensitive skin.,.. And the best hair products ??? Amazinggggggggg.
What are some products you used?

True!! I agree to that
SKII is definitely worth the price. It soothes and smoothes skin texture without the use of strong acids etc like nothing else.
There are products by Missha and Neogen that are pretty much the same thing as the SK-II but at a reasonable price.
Really appreciate your setting realistic expectations 👍🏾

what a cool video. I appreciate you taking the time to film examples of all the products, both on your hands and face!
I use clay masks, mattifying powder and pore minimising primers. I use a balm or oil cleanser for 2 minutes and thought that felt super long... I don't know if I have the patience for doing it for 3-5 mins. I use the Isntree clay mask and love it, i have dry skin as well
The glowiness of your face is adorable!!!! Envy ❤️
Mix oil and foundation. You can have that glowiness
The best clay masks I've ever tried & used to use very often are Fresh's Italian clay soap bar 🧼 Yes ,a soap !!! Just put that on ( wet it & apply streaks of the soap ) your skin & let it dry !! Another is Lancome white clay mask !!! You'll see blackheads coming off very easily ,instantly as you gently push blackheads after the mask . I highly recommend both !! I had to stop using them for the prices & some ingredients, my concerns for phenoxethanol, etc.
I love soaps, it's so much more ecofriendly and no useless plastic container to deal with after the product is consumed.
@@laviniam.1526 A very good point !!! But,I am guilty of convenience as well as my concern for germ ..I prefer in a tube as nobody else touches mine ,no bugs ,either !! Lol. Especially on a trip at a hotel bathroom( after witnessing how hotel maids cleaning the hotel bathrooms /rooms ,I am more paranoid !! ), or any place sharing the bathroom . Another thing on my mind is the ph balance ...,we sometimes need to change ph levels depending on our skin conditions / climates . But,basically mild acidic is the best on face / skin ,or neutral the next best.Gel types or forming types of cleansers in tubes are the best for oily skin like mine & to remove make ups ! Soap bars tend to have the same ph as other soaps unless specifically formulated for face only ,or other particular purpose ( like acne prone skin ,or very sensitive skin ) ,I think ! From my own experiences ! But,I feel guilty ( all of my life since I was little ) ,I try my best to choose ones are recyclables ♻️ But,off course it's gotta be good & does the job !!
My mom prefers soap bars ,but lately buying tube ones as it doesn't make her face pulled too tightly . We should buy things come in less packaging as much as possible & always recycle ♻️ & do our best to buy ♻️ recyclables. I agree !!! I am a queen of recycling since the early 90's ( 1991 )!!! Lol. But important thing is we ALL do our best !! They don't recycle everything we send them unfortunately ! Many get discouraged by it ,but it's quite opposite, the more we recycle, the more demands will be there !! Meaning more job opportunities for people & encourages companies to make theirs recyclables, or less packaging.,too !! It can affect reproductive organs & underdeveloped fetus . Also not too good for kidneys . Bad for cats ,too ! Toxic to them. Gorgeous skin, nice personality & useful advices. Retin A does miracles too. I do much of your routine except for the essence so I’ll add this Asian routine and see if it’s useful for me. Merci!
Disagree on the time to results on chemical exfoliants. I get instant (overnight) results when applying AHA at night once a week, and continued results when applying salicylic acid after shaving in the morning.
Also, nightly application of adapalene gel will keep your skin turnover in check so your pores will never "clog".
sooo addicting to watch! you’re gorgeous!! i always wonder why chemical exfoliants are used so much?? i want to get into skincare but i always get this nagging feeling that our skin is just supposed to do its own job..
You probably already know this, but I read that Mugwort is good for rosacea (as far as non-Rx products go)! Might be something to look into :)
Me too any exfoliating acid im too sensitive but finally niacinamide works for me.. so many benefits.. just d 5%
For Rosacea, stay away from all acid or base. They’re too harsh for the skin. Charcoal clay mask is helping me but I need to wash it off while the mask is still wet.
Wow you are so cute and this makeup looks amazing on you
We’re both using the same masks!!!! Love them especially the beet line!
