A few months ago, it would have driven me crazy to see the king escape while Drongo assures he is in the TC, but at this point, it's become funny like a Ben Stiller movie.

What does the blacksmith do in AOE4? In previous games, there never would have been a reason to get more than 1.
It provides upgrades to units. If you want to get your upgrades faster you need more blacksmiths so they can each research a technology at once.

You should never run the king, though people should also expect it and prepare
@@Spyro5500 When It's looking bad I usually pre-emptivly move him further back so there are options and it avoids a surround. That's why I leave a scout in the TC to confuse the odd person thinking there's still a king inside! :) That bloomin Aussie really wound me up when I was tired so he pegged it, I do feel a tiny bit bad haha (just a little). I had so many vills on wood as my plan was 3 TC's, and when I saw the fact green was not a noob and on route all I could do was spend my TC wood on archers. It was cool as it's shown me what I could have changed to have done better though.
