Michael, at some point, used to say that “Python is a full-spectrum language.” Well, Flask is a full-spectrum web framework. Even though it is often touted as a micro framework, with Flask, you can very quickly build small prototypes and scale them up (with Blueprints) to fully-fledged large, complex applications.
