    I got 55/60 in the writing exam by using these grade 7-9 phrases: “si...(past) je...(conditional) eg... “Si j’étais riche, j’achetèrais une grande maison and also “après avoir (past tense - avoir phrases) or après être (past tense - movement phrases (être)” eg... “Après avoir joué, j’ai dormis or après être retourné, j’ai mangé mon dîner.” Hope this helps :)

    • @_itzrxheem
      @_itzrxheem 5 лет назад +17

      And also instead of using “parce qu’il est intéressant or parce que c’est amusant” try to say “ça m’intéresse or ça m’amuse”

    • @_itzrxheem
      @_itzrxheem 5 лет назад +11

      Être verbs are devenir, revenir, monter, sortir, aller, descendre, naître, mourir, arriver, tomber, retourner, partir. There’s more but these are used for phrases where you are in a different place at the end from where you started. Search for the mnemonic “DR & MRS VANDERTRAMP” :)

    Ma famille
    J'habite à Melbourne, en Australie, avec mon mari Michael. J'ai déjà deux beaux-enfants qui ont grandi. J'ai aussi une sœur aînée, qui vit en Israël. Elle est gentille et a le sens de l'humour. J'ai aussi un frère. Il est le plus âgé et il vit aux États-Unis. Il a les yeux bruns et je l'adore. Malheureusement, ma chère maman est décédée. Mon père vit également aux États-Unis avec sa deuxième femme, qui est ma belle-mère, et nous sommes de bons amis. J'ai aussi des neveux, des nièces et même des petits-neveux et nièces que j'aime beaucoup et qui me manquent.

      GCSE is for the UK only. It is the "general certificate of education". The iGCSE, on the other hand, means somewhat the same thing, however, it is offered in other countries.
      It is the "International General Certificate Of Education" and the syllabus is tailored to meet the worldwide spec. You can check the syllabus guide to see what you should learn. I'm taking the iGCSEs as well.
      You can use the video for your iGCSES, if I'm not wrong we do have the topic of familial relationships [according the the syllabus as published by Cambridge, in 2022]
      And oop, just realised I'm two years late to this thread.
      Well, I hope this helps others with the same question.

De l'autre cote, je ne m'entends pas très bien avec mon frère car i peut être très agaçant. je me dispute souvent avec mon frère et il me stresse. le weekend dernier, avant de manger dans un cafe, je suis allée au cinema avec ma famille. nous avons regarde un film d'horreur. bien que c'était effrayant, je me suis bien amuse!

      "Ma soeur est plus grande que moi" means my sister is *taller* than me, not older. So saying "Je suis l'ainee" makes complete sense as she can still be the eldest whilst having a sister who is taller than her and a brother who is shorter than her. Hope that helps!
