Make a stand alone film and do a post credit sequence that sets up the possibility of the universe. Instead...set everything up in one film because, as it seems, the writers didn't have enough faith that people would go see the next film. :/ Thats what it seems like to me.
Didn't mind the side character as much as you. I didn't like him but he didnt bother me. My issues were with the story overall and the big plot holes you could drive a truck through. Which isn't surprising since the movie did have so many writers. The ending also bugged me and pushed the film overall to a negative because of how it finished
I only want to see this movie because of Sofia! other than that I am going to see Wonder Woman again! and wait for the price drop on Tuesday! thanks for your review! and opinion!
Exactly. It's very weird to me that they're attempting to give an entire monster universe the blockbuster treatment. So it has to have big set pieces and tons of quips and the horror turned down. Do a monsters shared universe with big stars, directors, and writers but make them for under $100 million. Depending on the film make them R or hard PG-13. Not everything needs to be designed to appeal to everyone.
I just saw this earlier. overall I thought I was very mediocre. the whole cast is pretty good but this movie is very inconsistent and the writing and screenplay is really not good. there are also lots of set up scenes for the dark universe. it's really just action scenes after action scenes and also set up scenes. overall I thought it was very mediocre and I'm going to give it a 5/10. it's a pretty fun movie but it has many problems and flaws.

I didn't mind it but it I agree it fell a bit short in trying to set up this Dark Universe. I wouldn't say it as bad as some people are saying.
I had big issues with it, but it's a movie I could easily rewatch and get some enjoyment out of it.

Completely agree! The humor was so horrible for me lol This script was such a mess. And I just got bored to be honest lol
It's like they thought that pouring Marvel-style quips on top of a Mummy movie would make it better blockbuster material. It did not.
Well if only they could get Marvel writers to write the jokes because these attempts were universally terrible lol The comedy was so bad
I couldnt get paid to watch this film if im honest.
And it definitely wouldn't win you over.
