5 15 at york minster a bit of the 35 bellringing carillon for evensong

i waited around 5 o clock normally the clock chimes and strikes in the north west bell tower first i waited and waited they must have started a bit late on tuesday the 25 june i got a quiet small few tunes first then some call changes on the front 6 bells on the batton cleavier now you all know that these 35 bells get played every day around 5 o clock every day or just afterwards nice hot sunny day for the preformance hey alot of changes around york city centre not a mainroad by the york gardens now no its all pavement flat stones there now by stuart mills now i did find out if great peter is still being rung by hand rung no they said to me the north tower is still a little unsafe the walls are unsafe yes it still strikes the hours as normall yes the minster is by st abennetts coffiee shop just outside the western towers then theres deans gate hotel by st wilfrids church the red brick hotel st michael le belfrys church has moved on by stuart mills i went into york minster to see my friends for 10 mins down at the vestery just a quick hello for 10 mins then i just moved on and had a good healthy walk around york near cross keys and the markets as well so everything went fantastic well the train station is having alot of work done ok a lot of road works outside the train station in york now i know theres no tolling great peter bell at 12 noon every day i may just set off around 1 pm get to york around 3 to 4 15 before it gets to 5 o clock before the carillon gets preformed till 5 25 past before evensong services most eves when its hot warm more longer day light weather to come when winter comes back i just stay around here i will still go to my own local churches to ring yes nice to hear the carillon being played maby you were a bit late starting now all the years i have been coming it used to be quarter to 5 till 5 15 when it used to be the old 11 bell chime then since 1998 i used to come up here and put my sony casset tape recorder and tape the carillon to be played hope you like the york minster tours by stuart mills
