    Dec. 2017----Awesome man, awesome. Had to laugh at the fountain bobbing around in the water until you had water running over it.....looked like it was possessed.

    I've done a Lot of styrene carving over the decades, you have some impressive skill! The symmetry is really nice! Especially hard on round pieces.I probably would have spent one of the years trying to come up with a simple lathe system...You probably just did it all by eye.

    That is so awesome. Actually easier than I would have imagined. Wife would either kill me for making another big prop or insist on leaving it up. B)

    You know everyone watched that part 1 and had to wonder what happened with the fountain. Then I seen it in your ghost town. I thought I missed a video or two and went back thru looking. Everything is right in my world now. I just really want to play with some of that awesome foam. I don't think we have anything like that here. Can you send me some? That fountain is so cool. Thank you again for showing us all how you made it happen. I think all of us haunters that at least one project that we have worked on for at least 3 years. And I don't think the new Google+ thing on youtube has a limit on how much I say! I don't get that character warning any more. Just makes me wonder how long I can ramble on. Did I tell you how much I love your fountain??

    7:28 made me laugh! Saw the fountain in person and it looked just like the real deal. So are birds are attracted to it?

    • @HollywoodHaunter
      @HollywoodHaunter 11 лет назад +1

      I haven't seen any birds in there. I'm sure the water isn't great for them but the markers did say non toxic so hopefully we aren't killing the local wildlife off.

      Hollywood Haunter Where do you get the large Foam to cut the large circular bottom, I could use this for my G scale Train Layout....

    • @HollywoodHaunter
      @HollywoodHaunter 10 лет назад

      silk8668 We were lucky enough to score much of our foam for projects this year from a friend who got the foam from a building that was using it as soundproofing against the walls. We do purchase large pieces of foam from time to time from local stores like Foam Mart when we need it. Check online for possible dealers that may sell sculpting foam blocks or that can order them for your area. They can be pricey but are nice for large projects. Thanks for watching =)

    I know this is an old video hope you guys still have it ya did a great job carving it, my question is how come you guys didn't concrete the foam so that it looks more realistic

    • @HollywoodHaunter
      @HollywoodHaunter 8 лет назад +1

      Hey Tony great question. We actually left it foam because it is lighter and easier to paint different colors. The year before this we had it more of a mission style fountain. And depending on our next theme we may change it up again ;)

    Where did you get your foam?

    • @HollywoodHaunter
      @HollywoodHaunter 8 месяцев назад

      Hi! Mostly from checking Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace. There are foam stores that sell foam blocks but they can be expensive. Tractor Supply gets smaller foam blocks shipped with their trailers to protect them and sometimes if you ask the manager they will give them away. Also the covers to hot tubs is a large piece of foam. Check your free listing near you for those as well.

  • @BrentHadley

    Did you guys pour your own A B foam blocks or purchase them? I haven't been able to find carvable foam blocks that size.

    • @HollywoodHaunter
      @HollywoodHaunter 10 лет назад

      No, we have been fortunate to either stumble across people giving away large blocks of foam used for soundproofing a building or we can purchase large blocks from several vendors like Foam Mart in our area.
