@@toughkidcst Say, ever though of using OPL4 PCM for playing the PCM sides of arcade and Sharp X68000 tunes and soundtracks on the MSX, especially since the OPL4 PCM side has more than enough sound channels to do so(up to 24 PCM channels)?🤨🤔🧐
@@ashkirby8896 Converting the PCM data from the OKIM6258 to MSX in real-time is not possible, so it is necessary to pre-convert the data into the format required by OPL4 and upload it to memory. I previously experimented with this by working with SEGAPCM( ruclips.net/video/pqFoNKiIpdM/видео.html ) , but due to my lack of skill, I wasn't able to achieve the desired speed on the MSX. I realized that this conversion process was unproductive, as it varied greatly between different PCM chips and different tracks, so I decided that I needed to find an alternative method. I believe that the method using FlashJack's IMA-ADPCM is the most efficient, as it places the least load on the system, has a small PCM size, and maintains the vivid music quality of the FM chip. As a result, it was the most effective approach.
How is it playing PCM on the Flashjacks add-on, especially since the original arcade game had a lot of PCM channels used?!😮😱🤯😶🌫️🤨🤔🧐
