Very few amateurs who understand and apply the use of a good ground, not only acts as a mirror reflecting the best cran RF into infinite space, but also offers extra security against possible electrical activity, when someone uses besides, much power, this condition have good ground, better polarized antenna, offering better performance and better stabilizes the ROE, good job! I did the same, with radial wires of about 10 meters, put 4 oriented according the cardinal points, thanks for your video.
Thanks Alan for your very good instructional videos. I have now watched this series several times and am getting ready to order this antenna. 73, Bob AJ5C

Thank you, I agree, the radials were well worth the effort and expense.

Hey Bob! Did you end up getting this antenna? Thoughts, if so? I'm debating it as well.
Thanks for your kind words. It was a pleasure to build and to use now that it's up and running.
I would have like to see how the hole was dug and the concrete mixed
That’s a lot of concrete. The vertical must be much heavier than the telescoping masts I have used that need two 90 lb sacks.
excellent install great job ..what do you use to cut the grass with all the ground radial wire?
Hi Alan....quick question....how does one obtain a hole to mount a mast for the antenna ?
Can a homemade radials plate work?
What type of wire are you using in the radials? Copper? Aluminum to save money? Or something else?
Great videos, set up and very helpful. Where did you get your 2 .5" mast pipe? Did that come from DXE as well?
I don't understand this system. Apparently you need to wrap up those 60 wires on the ground everytime you mow. Seems like a lot of work.
The radials are staked to the ground and get covered by the grass. Mowing should not be a problem
Looks like no one eats apple there. What a shame.
What a mess to mow over.
