I just bought one of these three weeks ago. Came in the wrong color from what I ordered. Whatever, they gave me a minor discount to keep it. But the sound was aweful. Pickups sounded dead or muted or something. So I changed them out for The Bald Shredder's preferred Donlis pickups and they saved the day. Still don't like the color I ended up with.

People forget the speaker in the amp used makes way more of a difference than the guitar or much else. Being an amazing player helps as well as a good setup
Many will not take the time to learn their gear. If it doesn't 'make' them sound like , then time to start 'upgrades'.
Crazy how cheap these are! I might have to try one! I also saw what you did there...pedaling the A string like "Crazy Train" but switching up the notes. One of your best jams!
This seems like a good LP clone. I still like the Leo Jaymz better, the AlNiCo Vs appeal more to me. Nevertheless, this one I might get in the near future! Thanks Richard!

Let's keep it real since Firefly ramped up production the quality has gone down , i bought a FFVX and a FFLGS the FFVx was horrible not going in to details cause i'm trying to keep it short and the other one i bought with a few adjustments is just okay but i expected better they were awesome when they only came out every 3 or 4 months and as of right now only one FFSP is under 1.69 a Fluorescent one yuck! lol

Great job on the writing. I feel like for that price it has to be worth giving it a chance. It sounds good enough for me. I wonder if it compete with the Epiphone Studio?

Ok. This jam was very much in that 80's Shrapnel shred-o-rama style. Loved it!!!
I just bought there, what is basically their Charvel model. It's the white one with the two humbuckers and "Floyd Rose". I can't believe how good it is for $200! It's made.of mahogany, has a roasted maple neck, real rosewood fingerboard, locking tuners, jumbo stainless steel frets, alnico pickups and coil split. It came perfectly setup, except the strings were crap and I changed them. The neck is thin and compound radiused 10-14. Both pickups sound amazing, even with the coil split! I mean, you slap a brand name on it, and they could charge $1500 all day long. I just bought a Strat Player Plus, because the place I got it had a deal I couldn't refuse, and I bought an Epi Explorer and had it pleck'd, from Sweetwater, but I find myself reaching for the Firefly more often than not. It's that good! I thought for sure it was hype, and I would be the one to get a crappy one lol. I think they even set it up before they ship it out. I think they use nitro as well, because when I opened the Styrofoam, it reeked of it. Plus, the gloss shines differently than poly. If you're on the fence, you should pull the trigger. If it wasn't good , I sure as hell wouldn't be writing this! I think I'll get the Les Paul too. They don't have them in stock, but now they're making an EVH 5150 red and white Frankie clone now, for like $300.
Edit: I've got to get one of these LP copies now. You make me want to quit playing! You are freakin' phenomenally awesome!

To me, "clean" is just that - no effects like chorus.
That being said, it's still a good video, and a nice looking guitar.
It just now occurs to me that you are a really prolific writer. I’ve noticed for a while how diversified your composing “ingredients” are. You had a choice, and you chose your family with no regrets. That’s my guess. You have a good life. Congrats, boss. See ya on Wednesday if I get back in time.

The thing with some guitarists who are just average or below think you need a 2 grand guitar to sound good, kind of like golfers who think they need expensive clubs to play better golf. but you prove time and time again it’s not the price of a guitar, but the skill of guitar playing.

@@metal1mark73 dude you know I wouldn't spend money on those pickups. If I really wanted to change them, I'd get the set of Alnico5 from Musiclily. They have the chrome covered pickups to match.

Oh My! I do indeed love the LP's. Your jam was awesome as usual - I really liked the clean just as much as the super-duper. After the deal I got on my alpine white LP, I'd never trade it, as I've fallen head-over-heels. Firefly has done an outstanding job on this model, and that price!!! GROOVINESS!

Picked up a FF338 used from marketplace, and it's craftsmanship and finish is amazing. I would certainly think their LP would be great too. Now I want one of these as well.

FYI: You state in the video that the frets are NOT stainless steel with ball ends, yet the link below takes you to 5 FFSP Firefly guitar that ALL advertise Stainless steel ball-end frets. Which is correct ? Oh, Great Bald Shredder, we turn to you for your wisdom !!!
Some of the Firefly LPs have stainless steel frets. Some do not. If you look at the description for each individual guitar, you'll see this.
Black binding would have made it look so much better.
Love my Firefly LP it's the best playing LP I ever own even more so than the Gibsons and Epiphones I've owned

Really enjoy your videos. Question? I am looking at a few Firefly guitars and also the Ibanez Geo model guitar. Which do you think would be the better choice from your experience? I am more of a LP kinda guy but also game for other model types as long as they sound good and have a nice neck. Thank you
If you want an LP, get a Firefly. If you want a shred guitar, get the Leo Jaymz Monsoon.
