I am a new revert, but have been Al ahl kitab for 3 years. I came to know Islam and the Qu’ran through study of the Injil and the Tawrat. The Holy Book is such a practical way to live. The Most High is merciful and competent. Alhamdulillah! Amein 🙏🏽

It’s so fun comparing the Jewish version of Ibrahim stories and the Islamic version. Avram vs Ibrahim. So much similarity, nearly all the same events. But with different nuances, conversations, and commentary. Very refreshing.
Maa shaa Allah. Learned a lot from this alhamdulillah. I only knew the Abraham (pbuh) story from the bible. There are both differences and similarities. I really appreciate the story now. Makes more sense. May Allah grant you more knowledge, and Jannah! Ameen
The thing I love most about brother Omar is that in his scholarship he presents the very humanity of our Messenger (PBUH) and the Prophets of GOD (SWT) first and foremost...and then their remarkable extraordinary lives and deepest commitment to GOD. The signs of Allah's love for a person are as follows : 1. When Allah loves someone he puts them under trials ( the more righteous they are, the harder the trials) in order to purify them. 2. When Allah loves someone, he gives them the"understanding" of the religion of Islam. 3. Whomever Allah loves, he deviates them and their heart from disobedience and sins.. I never knew the full story of the Prophet Ibrahim. I have heard mixed messages regarding Sarah, and Hagar. One was an insinuation that Ismael made fun of Sarah. This was the reason Allah ask the Prophet Ibrahim to take Hagar away. The other story was a referral saying that The Prophet Ibrahim told Ismael’s first wife to give the message, “saying remove the carpet from your front door.” To me, it's very important to know the actual truth. I took great comfort in knowing how Allah kept the Prophet Ibrahim cool during the fire. Allah is truly more than a friend to all of us. As time goes on my only hope is to be strong and God-fearing like the Prophet Ibrahim. I am so amazed by this incredible human being. Allah knows best.
I fell asleep listening to the brothers from speakers corner. And throughout my sleep I kept hearing about Prophet Ibrahim (peace and blessings upon him). Turns out this is what I was listening to. Idk that was a weird experience...
Sh Omar Suleyman is my fav imam bcz he has vast knowledge on Hadith and Quran and so his speech is amazingly interesting and touches the heart . I always look fwd to listen to his speech and his American English is indeed very polished , a JOY to listen to him. May Allah grant him long life to help spread the Deen of Islam insyaAllah.
Desiring to get closer to some spiritual goal, I felt myself drifting away from it. This was the case many years ago, when I was driven by religious fanaticism and when I left all religious groups, I was finally able to come closer to God and my spiritual goals are ordered according to the voice of my conscience

1. When Allah loves someone he puts them under trials ( the more righteous they are, the harder the trials) in order to purify them.
2. When Allah loves someone, he gives them the"understanding" of the religion of Islam.
3. Whomever Allah loves, he deviates them and their heart from disobedience and sins..

I never knew the full story of the Prophet Ibrahim. I have heard mixed messages regarding Sarah, and Hagar. One was an insinuation that Ismael made fun of Sarah. This was the reason Allah ask the Prophet Ibrahim to take Hagar away. The other story was a referral saying that The Prophet Ibrahim told Ismael’s first wife to give the message, “saying remove the carpet from your front door.” To me, it's very important to know the actual truth. I took great comfort in knowing how Allah kept the Prophet Ibrahim cool during the fire. Allah is truly more than a friend to all of us. As time goes on my only hope is to be strong and God-fearing like the Prophet Ibrahim. I am so amazed by this incredible human being. Allah knows best.

Sh Omar Suleyman is my fav imam bcz he has vast knowledge on Hadith and Quran and so his speech is amazingly interesting and touches the heart .
