Lets set up a public liability insurance through the police retirement fund then see how many cops start learning the laws and see how quickly they start acting like choir boys.
Not good enough. By tradition or union contract the cop's employing city, county, or state will indemnify them even if they have no QI. The government must be banned from indemnifying the police. The police should be forced to purchase liability insurance out of their own pockets in the amount of at least $3 million OR open up the union pension fund to pay for judgements and settlements. When the pension fund gets drained it affects all the officers and creates peer pressure to stop screwing around with everyone's retirement funds. The piggies will not stop unless and until they feel it in their wallets.

You can clearly see people are moving freely and he wasn’t blocking any entrance or the sidewalk. How can you trespass someone not on the property or in the store it’s damn public sidewalk, this is becoming absolutely ridiculous and insane how actual laws are being violated! But is there any accountability law suits are paid by citizens we have higher ups who should never be in that position, officer’s are condoned and found to do nothing wrong so why would they follow actual law. You don't have to be arrested to stand up for your rights and file a lawsuit. Jeff Gray does it all the time. Just make sure you would be arrested if you didn't give ID. There are certain words you need to come from them to have them on enough to file lawsuits.

A 15 year old with a cell phone can look up the law. I understand that there is a need for qualified immunity, but that doctrine was created at a time when the only way to find a law was to go to the law library. Qualified Immunity should be updated to require that an officer make a good faith effort to actually look up a law before threatening someone to take action against them. They could detain the individual briefly to do that but it is pretty easy to look up the law on a cell phone.
Whats wrong with the police, why is so hard for them to respect the public, to start they work for us, they get paid by taxpayers money, all their equipment is paid by us, why is so hard for them to respect the public.
I like to make a subsection, the police should be evaluated for mental health problems every 6 months at least, sorry for what I'm going to said but the police are behaving worst than criminals.
