Pupils disappearing is a trope that’s used to show that a character is under horrible duress, traumatized, broken, or something else to that effect. And no it doesn’t mean she went blind. It’s meant to indicate that Mukuro here, who in IF when this moment happens has her dawning realization that everything to this point that she’s done isn’t right, that it’s wrong, the fact that she was about to die by her sisters hand only for the one she loves, the only one to have shown her genuine kindness and smile at her to end up being the one getting impaled by those spears, breaks her heart. It’s literally described as the first time Mukuro’s let out a cry of despair into the world, so it’s a means of showing just how deeply it’s affected her before she finally lets out that scream of despair.
