    I don't get this to work in my spreadsheet. The function "counta" is the thing that is not working I belive.

      COUNTA is a function and available in Google Sheets and Excel.

      ​@@TheAkshay I think I got it now, but can I add some weight in the lottery? Say that someone buys two tickets and I dont want to repeat their name?

      You can remove duplicate names first
