Asalam alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh. I made this video as my attempt to support anyone who is very new to learning the prayer and struggling to learn each part using transliteration.
Personally, it took me years to become even slightly accurate in pronouncing all of the Arabic within the prayer.
There are some reverts that come to Islam via their own research and do not have access to a teacher or a local masjid and without that, it is very difficult to learn.
Disclaimers
1. If you have access to someone who can properly teach you how to pronounce the Arabic within the prayer, my advice is to learn from them and just use this video to support you.

3. I am not an expert in the Arabic language, nor am I a qualified teacher (I am simply trying to provide a video that I would personally have found extremely useful in my early years of reverting to Islam)
A reminder of the conditions of the prayer
- Intention
- Facing the Qiblah (direction of prayer)
- The timing (This is for the 5 obligatory prayers) (not for optional - although certain times when you don’t pray)
- Covering the 'awrah (private area)
Male ‘awrah. This is the ‘awrah of one who has reached the age of ten and above, between the navel and the knee.
Female ‘awrah. This is the ‘awrah of an adult woman. All of her body is ‘awrah when praying, except for her hands and face. The scholars differed with regard to showing the feet.
- Tahararah
Ghusl if you are in a state of major impurity and Wudu if you are in a state of minor impurity
- No impurity (Najasa) on body, clothes or place or prayer

Took me forty minutes to memorize this dua, may Allah (SWT) award you.
I would just like to thank you personally for helping get closer to Allah SWT and learning prayer and how to make dua correctly. I was born Muslim but my mother is Canadian (white) so when they split when I was 6 I never got a chance to learn from my dad and by the time I was old enough I was to busy thinking I didn’t have to follow now after my father had passed almost 2 years now I have started praying 4 times a day trying to make 5 and thanks to your videos I have been able to learn faster and easier so thank you may Allah bless you my brother

Brother, these videos are a blessing Mashallah. Please continue making educational content like this and serving the ummah in this fashion because content like this is sorely needed, especially for reverts in the Anglophone West, where Islamophobia constrains people from learning about Islam.
I have learned all my salah through your videos and I gotten closer to Allah swt thanks to your content. I think your emphasis on teaching reverts slowly but steadily is really empowering and it has motivated me to dedicate self-study of the Quran and inshallah as soon as I graduate college I will enroll in an Arabic course. This is a beautiful religion.
P.S. I am also a Christian revert. I reverted from Roman Catholicism. My family is from Latin America where knowledge of Islam is next to none. I was sadly astray for some years until I heard of an old friend who reverted and it inspired me to read the Quran for myself.

I like this channel. Thank you. I think due to the worldwide events in the last few weeks more and more people will be seeking an alternative viewpoint on Islam. My approach with students is to ask them to learn in slow and gentle steps. I have met people who dive all in and then one day they totally rebel. I think guidance is essential.
