Matco is a reliable brand that produces high-quality tools for mechanics. As a fellow HD mechanic, I can attest to the durability of their products. It's fascinating to see how these large drill bits are manufactured in a factory, and it's a testament to the precision and attention to detail required to create essential tools for our profession. Thanks for sharing this informative video!

At 4:08 that is turning the Morse taper not cutting the flutes, that was done earlier by a forging not turning process. Do keep up.

Unbelievable the number of inaccuracies in the narration. I quit after they described the lathe cutting the flutes (it was turning the Morse taper shank).

Also these were twist drills, not drill bits. When people say drill bit to me I tell them to keep their fingers away and it won’t bite you.

Big sockets over 3 inches are generally used for instance high voltage power lines and have an external hex head and a sledging spanner is used to tighten the nut not a air socket or cordless driver. Other applications include ship engine building/repairs, large machines like wind turbine.etc

Its nice that the workers have jobs but such a shame the lack of safety. Several mentioned in other comments, but most shocking is the presses. With hand going in and out of a press like that it's just a matter time.

This is exactly why some tools are so cheap, people work on old inaccurate machines with minimal safety, Nitriding is in a crowded bin where individual tools touch, and nitriding is not all over the surface, but it can fit a lot. I would like to see a video of a modern drill factory.

These workers of the first part of the video, who work with heavy materials, work with grinding machines and in a highly noisy environment, do not have safety shoes, any type of safety glasses and do not have any type of ear protection. This video should be used for illustrative purposes of what a workplace should NOT be like..

The terminology in this narration is so bad it's unwatchable. If you're going to be bothered creating a video at least take the time to understand it and correctly narrate it.

I didn't even have to watch this video to know that it was a waste of time. How did I know this? Easily. The title is "How The Large Drill Bits Produced In Factory" (Etc). But the Picture is of a huge CIRCULAR SAW BLADE! Bad enough that your grammar is bad, but you don't know the difference between a saw and a drill? Yikes.
