Thank you so very much for this wonderful video. I spent more time trying to get my blocks to work only to rip them out. Until I watched your video I couldn’t seem to understand how it worked. Now I am on a roll! There is no stopping me now. ❤❤thank you for doing this and your help❤❤
I've done probably 100 or more c2c afghans and I've always HATED doing the slip stitches when I decrease.. Never, ever, not even once, have I considered doing the chain 3 instead! Thank you so much for making c2c blankets a joy again. And I love your technique for joining as you go. Definitely have to try this after work today. I love your thorough tutorials, so many helpful tips.
The decreasing is the hardest part !!!, Thanks for showing us again how to do it. It really helps me to know what I am doing . Plus I never understood how to join the squares and now I am understanding the method. I don’t comment much but you are a nice person and helps us so we can learn and at the end have a beautiful item or project 🥰
Fiber Spider; Thank you so so so much for this tutorial. I have been crocheting for over 30 yes and have tried on multiple occasions to make this pattern (without the joins) but have never understood the written instructions on the turning and where to go from there. You have helped me tremendously. Now going to watch video #3 on this tutorial. Super excited now.
I enjoy your tutorials. You are calm and the speed is just right. I am struggling with this because I would love to see it for left handed people. Trying to get my brain to do opposite of what I am seeing sometimes gets me overwhelmed.
Very cool and you made it so so easy to follow along. Thank you Spider for this great video series and I can't wait for the next part. Wishing you much love, many blessings and happy crocheting. 😁💗🤗🌺
This is a great technique for C2C and I learned something new from you, the chain 3 to get to the next square. I was taught to slip stitch to the ch 3 sp. thank you Craig. Have a great day.
I thought it maybe how he was going to join the square so I disgarded my query about it yesterday, he has 2 gaps back to back, where he's joining, it's not so baby friendly this way. I'll do it my way but go into the stitches his way to join the squares. 😊💞
@@amandall3633 when I do my C2Cs I chain 5 instead of 6 to lessen the spaces , and I chain 2 instead of 3 , it makes a lot less holes... I'll have to try his method with my chain counts.
@@cindylillard2938 ill give that a shot, it sounds like a good idea. I'm was to do a bolster cushion cover and ran out of what I was using, so I'll use that for something else, but small granny squares are not my favourite but I like C2C, Graig must be a mind reader, as well as a jem,, as he comes up with this, just when I need it. Many Thanks for the tip 😊💞
Just started crochet, and am enjoying this corner crochet blanket pattern. Very clear and easy to follow. Thanks for taking the time to make these videos!
This is why you have achieved so many subscribers, surely more to come, keeping us busy and happy w/ gorgeous patterns, never leave us hanging, wondering about the next and final steps.
Thank you so much for all your detailed videos. I'm making an Afghan for a friend with breast cancer. I have been trying to figure this patternt, and you made it so simple. You're very clear, and the visual is excellent. Many blessings to you, and your business. 🙂
THANK YOU for being so thorough !!!! I have been crocheting for over 20 years, but have never done corner to corner, because I just could not "get it". Your instructions are so awesome !! I just started with my first corner to corner, I have the first 2 blocks done in a half hour and it's coming to me faster and faster :) Great tutorial !
Hidey, Spidey...I love this pattern. Thanks so much for making it clearer to me. I still have trouble knowing when to turn, so I think I'll make a diagram of little squares with arrows and numbers showing which direction the stitches in the next little square go. As always, you're the best. Can't wait for part 3. Love ya
Thank you so much for this. I like how you go into the details, because I have my hook in my hand and I can see that exact stitch I need to go into to get the great result. I love your channel! Keep it going!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I just finished a baby graph and it was way too small. I thought all of my work was wasted until I watched this :) I have added 6 rows to each side and it is perfect. I could hug you right now!!
I have a question for you. I want to make a full-size afghan using this join as you go technique. Would I need to make one strip the length I want and then start the tiers?? Thank you for any help.
@@sarahmayberry4485 Yes, make one strip the length you require from bottom to top. I added my second row from the top working back down. It's very easy once you get started.
I was well into the decrease rounds of a C2C blanket when I was able to get more of the yarn I was using. This was perfect for helping me figure out how to make my blanket larger with the extra yarn! I had also never seen the gingam pattern with C2C 😍. So many helpful tips as well! Thank you for an amazing tutorial!
I'm loving this so much!!! Taking turns on this project and the almost finished kaleidoscope blanket from your tutorials. I'm truly grateful and haven't been this excited for a while. Back to yarnaholic mode(oh darn). You Mr spider have made me happy again. Take that anxiety and depression!!!! From the bottom of my heart, thank you for bringing me back to peace and joy.
I want to thank you for c2c stitch the pattern was confusing, your tutorial made it so clear and very helpful. I loved all your tutorials and I've made a lot of them.
Love this c2c join-as-you-go but what a time I had with the joining procedure. I can follow along okay but wanted to be able to get away from a computer screen and just wing it. I'm only on join #5 of row 1 and I just know that repetition will eventually kick in and that's what I want - to be able to motor along with looking at a pattern or watching a video (no offense-love your voice). After several screw-ups, I decided to write the pattern down as I went and I think that may have helped but I think the repetition also helped. Even worse is setting it aside and picking up the next day and expecting everything to click in. I'll refer to the notes until............. Thanks again for the tutorial - love your gentle approach.
You are a good sent. I love this stitch and have been working on several blocked but not looking to the end where I gave to going them all together by needle I will definitely do this from now on thank you so much.
I now have like a million more ideas, lol. But so glad I stumbled across this video. This is making the graphgan I just started so much easier. I won't have what seems like a million yarn bobbins(which always seem to tangle) and worse what seems like a hundred zillion ends to weave in. I can actually hide many of my ends as I go as I have long strips of the same colors. I hate weaving in ends! Oh, subscribed.
I totally agree with you I Love This Method. Thank you, thank you for this amazing video. You have a way of explaining that makes it all make sense to me. So onward to part 3. I also love all of your tips and tricks, they make things easier, for me at least, but we can also have an option.
thank you. I have tried this so many times and failed. Now I've got it. I love your videos, and love the way you don't hide your hook falling out of the stitches. I do that all the time and thought it was just me.
Along the edge on the decrease, I thought that you'd use the chain 3 gaps you made, but as you Don't , as I do you can slip stitch along each or into each of the stitches and into the loop. Then chain 3. As yoo have 2 loops back to back your way, if that makes sense. It would be more baby friendly and you get a cleaner edge. 😊💞
This is really nice. Just want to know, if you’re not making a blanket joined but just a regular C2C do you decrease the same way, or do you slip stitch to the next block? I like the chain 3. It looks much neater.
Great videos! I understand how to change colours. My question is if you have a few blocks of the same colour do you need to snip and start like you would do if changing colours? Or is there a way to continue on until a colour change in the pattern?
Normally I can follow your instructions but this one has me stumped as I am a left-handed and can't figure out where to attach the new yarn. Suggestions?
Just so u know I have watched and re watched and watched again and always need reminding for this one so glad it's here for my memory

Nice technique. With all the turning you have to do to complete a square, isn’t it awfully cumbersome if you are doing a blanket.
