Apple had initially reached the $3 trillion market cap two years ago, surpassing the $2 trillion mark in 2020. Over the past few weeks, Microsoft and Apple have been alternating positions as the world's most valuable company, with Microsoft briefly surpassing Apple earlier this month.
In recent months, Microsoft's stock has been on a rally, driven by heightened investor enthusiasm for the company's advancements in artificial intelligence.
