💕Synopsis:
After Lin Yu Jing's parents' divorce, she and her dad moved to a new city where she becomes seat mates with notoriously "ill-tempered" Shen Juan at their new school. They get reacquainted, separated and reunited again in university.
Lin Yu Jing was initially full of anxiety about readjusting to a blended family after her father's remarriage, but she is warmly welcomed by her stepmother and stepbrother Fu Ming Xiu. She also thought it would be difficult to integrate into a new group, but she quickly meets interesting classmates at her new school. Her arrival also brings changes to Shen Juan, her new seat mate who was held back a year.
Just as her life was gradually getting back on track, Lin Yu Jing's mother, Lin Zhi, forcibly takes her back to her hometown. A year later, she is reunited with Shen Juan in university. She learns that Shen Juan's family has gone through some hard times and he still hasn't recovered from the trauma. With the help of Lin Yu Jing and their classmates, Shen Juan slowly walks out of the haze. Lin Yu Jing also finds her own direction in life.

I love that Yiran is experimenting and trying new roles everytime..Like in FIYS, he was a goofy but sensible mature type of man..In TSS, he was a quite naughty, clingy and outgoing type of racer..In WIFTY, he was a introvert, quite boy who couldn't express himself much..In this series, he is portraying a rebelous, rightous boy who is kinda badass and I am loving it already..

I love this drama because it shows the versatility and realities of love. The main characters have a love that goes beyond the infatuation and attachment of young love, but their support and willingness to stand by one another was something tested and proven throughout the show and never fails to warm my heart. I also loved how it touched on familial love and how it can be the most hurtful yet strongest thing there is, and I especially love the found family concept emphasized through the show between the two leads and their group of friends. Def my fav drama of the year

I fell in love with this drama because it's one of the dramas out there that successfully depicted the story of students being no-longer-kids-but-not-adults-yet which is really true for me and really speaks volume at the same time. All these years I've been thinking, the journey to growing up isn't really all about just fun but also pain & only very very few people get this. Being a student sometimes is being forced to do something, to act as someone just to satisfy/suit the preference of adults which they usually justify "for your own good, for your future". Students were really never given a proper explanation of what that "good" is or what that "future" is. In the end we learn by ourselves. And we are the ones always to adjust, to give in. Unless we get the courage to decide to turn the tables later on. But getting the courage itself comes with privilege I'm afraid (sometimes luck) & again, only very very few people will understand this 🥺This drama made me want to and wish to meet someone like Shen Juan & Lin Yujing in life too. The ones who will understand my story & will stay until the end of it may it be written in sweet/bitter pen🥺They have come so far! They worked so hard and I just became too soft for both of them😭 There's now ay I would forget this drama for life!

I liked this drama because the characters of Shen Juan and Lin Yu Jing really resonated with me. They each had such a colourful past that resulted in them having deep-rooted regrets and pain and while they were used to dealing with it themselves, when they met each other they started a healing process. They learnt to depend on one another and opened up about their own painful past but as their relationship grew, they also grew individually. It was really comforting and heartwarming to see them being each other’s “safe haven” and the romance between them slowly blossom. It certainly is a slow burn romance but it was such a pity that there weren’t many kiss scenes!😆
personally, i didn't really feel the slow burn coz of how sweet and deep their script plus the chemistry of the leads were the best.. some also said that in cdramas it's unusual for them to get together in HS haha so that's why.. in the novel tho they just got together before they got separated

This drama really have to get a reward and love! One of recommended drama this year! Even there are some lacks on the subs, but i guess still okay because i can understand chinese. There are much reason why i love this drama!
The most and first reason it's because Zhou Yiran as the male lead (he's my no.1 in China) 😅 and his co-actress was Zhuang Dafei, one of my fav too! I love her acting, and (after a long time) it's the first actress who be Yiran-ge's co-actress that younger than him, because mostly his co-actress was older than him. Dafei-jie is one year younger than him, so it be one of reason why i really looking forward to this drama. I really like Yiran-ge's acting here, he can acted himself as the character Shen Juan, a boy with his trauma yet still stand strong. And of course love his dimples when he smiles, always found it cute!
Second, it's because my hobby is watching, and nowadays i'm into C-Drama(s), and i found the notice of this drama when i scroll my weibo and youtube account! After that i search the info of the novel (because it's based on it), read the synopsis, and found i'm interested in the novel (although haven't found any full with trans) and drama so i'm looking forward to the drama!
Third, i watched this drama here on youtube! The drama was aired this month on August, after watch this first episode i found that i keep watching and have finished it until the last episodes that aired yesterday (Ep 25)😅 If i can say, this drama includes a lots slice of life of a person. Stricted parents that haven't ever think of our feelings, how to understand someone, the trauma inside us, and more. This drama is about a boy Shen Juan and a girl Lin Yujing. Shen Juan with his trauma that blocked his dream and Yujing with her parents matters, both of them have their own story before, but as they met, the story becomes their. It tells us when we have someone besides who can understand us, together anything will be okay.
Lastly, i like the casts and their characters! Sometimes, i hope to be someone strong like Yujing, although she always has to obey her parents and can't hold on to the things she really wants even if she wants, that burden she stands on but she keep it by herself. But it's different when she has friends now and someone like Shen Juan besides her to comfort and support her sides. And sometimes, i hope to have someone supportive and loving like Shen Juan! Shen Juan too, before he met Yujing, he still in his trauma, having no way out of it. After meeting her, he slowly changed and found his way out with her help and support by him sides. And actually they're lucky to have each other!
Although this drama isn't a very heavy genre, but i love it. It not just a romantic story of two person, but also includes their related story in the life thay can (maybe) make (some) people understand. Even other don't prefer to watch this drama, that's really an okay, because i still will! Because it's the most real good drama with 30 episodes in this year and i will keep rewatch it!
