That's because not very many people take an interest in cooking...if you did, you'd find it's not as difficult as it sometimes looks. Like anything one is learning, start small, and work your way up. Also, cooking is about knowing how to do a few simple techniques very well, and then combining those to make more and more complicated and involved dishes. :)
You should see the happiness on my family's face when I made this (just now)! Thank you for your wonderful recipes, Marion! How much joy you bring to homes across the world!
Made this tonight. My only adjustments were to go heavier on the garlic, and I used a mix of bell pepper, jalapeno, and green fingerling peppers. I put a combination of regular flour and corn starch in a baggie and used that to toss the chicken pieces after marinating them. It came out so good I'm almost crying. This recipe is to die for. I strongly recommend using Szechwan peppercorns together with the regular black Tellicherries. Serve over rice. Marion, you rock!
I'm so grateful to Marion for sharing her amazing recipe. She is such a talented person, and I can't wait to try more of her dishes. Thank you, Marion, for making my day with your wonderful recipe!
I loved cooking but was stuck in a rut for the past years until I stumbled onto your channel. Now I’m constantly trying new recipes and we have such similar palate (Thai + Chinese + spicy) and cooking style - no precise measurements of seasoning and you make everything so straightforward and simple. Just wanted to say thank you for all the delicious meals and reigniting my love for cooking! 😉🌶🍜🍛🍚🥢
I finely ordered sweet soy sauce (none in my area) and made this dish, and it was outstanding. Due to dietary restrictions, I did not fry the chicken, but it is the sauce that made this so delicious! My wife even liked it, and up till now her Chinese food repertoire was orange chicken!!! Thanks, Marion!!!
This is so delicious. I made this with firm tofu as I don’t eat chicken and it was amazing. Also only used black pepper as thats all I could get while in lockdown. Can only imagine how much better it will taste when I can make it with both peppers.
Just made this for family and it was a hit! The flavor is right on. I didn’t have Xiao Xin wine on hand so I used orange juice as replacement, and black peppercorns only. It tasted great. Thanks Marion!
Once I saw your videos I was hooked and am filling up a binder of recipe printouts! Love the noodles recipes! I made this recipe twice now and like it a lot! I have, however, found Sichuan Pepper already ground up and that's easier. The second time I used popcorn chicken and that worked but the first time I did fry the chicken. Liked them both! Thanks for your great recipes!
Made this for lunch for the family and It was a huge hit! Swapped out the Chinese cooking wine for Mirin and Szechaun Peppercorns, I mixed black peppercorns coriander seed with Lime zest. I'm not a fan of sweet dishes so this was just perfect!
Dude I tried this today and used asian cooking wine instead and premade chicken bites like popcorn chicken. The sauce is everything it tastes so damn good. Thank you for this quick and easy recipe.
Wow this recipe came just in time, I had two chicken breast thawing . and voila made this for supper, hubby is loving it..Thank you! I did not have all the ingredients but added ginger and Chinese 5 spices..turn out great...
I was very surprised by the amazing taste of this dish! I just discovered your channel and I‘m so glad I did. I even bought a mortar because of you! And funny enough, it’s literally the same mortar 😍 You made me so excited to cook. By the way if you‘ll cook this dish, be careful if you cut the chicken too thin, don‘t cook it too long or else it‘ll become hard to chew.
Thank you so much for the recipe Marion, I made it for tonight’s tea and we both loved it. It goes a long way as it very filling, the chook was succulent and the bite of the pepper was face warming. My partner said it was restaurant quality, and I agree. I even took a pic of it’s glossy finish but RUclips won’t let me attach it here. Thanks again 😁
I've been following Marion for almost a year now and been making her luscious dishes and came out really good. But I just use my own measurement of ingredients as couldn't see any link of info here of Marion's recipe measurement. Does she have a website where you can get her recipes ?
Marion, you’ve hit 500,000 subscribers! Thank you for continuing to inspire & entertain us all & congratulations on your well deserved success. Glen (& Zip the 🦜) in Sydney.
Great recipe! Loved that I already had all the ingredients already, too. Made it twice for the family so far and it was a hit both times! I only used black pepper and lessened the amount a bit.
Love this recipe and love how easy you make it all seem (and it is!) You've made me a better cook. Thanks Marion! 💕 Hope you and your family are well 😊
Just tried this without the Chinese wine bec i didn't have one. Still tasted good. Will surely taste better with that one. Thank you, Marion for sharing the recipe! 💖
The recipes are easy to make and really are delicious. The videography is excellent. And Marion is just gorgeous and eloquent. I hope her channel reaches 1M subs and more! You are a gift to the cook-learned-at-home-during-quarantine folks. :D
Oh my god your are unbelievable. I just tried this recipe today and it was amazing and beyond my expectations of tasty. You're charming. I love your channel and recipes so glad I found this.
Very delicious recipe. A bit hot - but not too much. Everyone in my family loved. Thanks for great recipes, Marion. - and chicken thigh is very delicious.
I just cooked this and It's so delicious. I put bell pepper and pineapple juice. Thanks for this. Now I have additional chicken recipe to choose from. It's always chicken adobo before but now It's different. 😍
I love how marionc's lipstick is always on fleek and never smudged when she eats. Skills. Love this recipe. Similar to chili chicken. Now im jones'n for it
OHMYGOSH... this recipe rocks! I did not have the Chinese wine (nor apple or pineapple juice) so added 1/4 cup of French white wine AND, instead of frying the chicken bites, i cooked them in the oven... & then proceeded with recipe as is. Deeelicious! Marion, keep 'em coming!
Me and my husband really love your recipes! He’s very happy to eat after work with new dishes. But due to lockdown we’re getting fatter and we would like more on veggies recipes from you that’s good for diet but very sumptuous! 😋 thank you for inspiring me to cook in the house instead of eating outside, actually my husband told me that I can make my own restaurant with different dishes from your recipe if it’s ok for you, and If we have time and place to do it. Your recipes are not hard to find here bcs we’re in Asia. ‘ Philippines’ .... we just love it! 🥰
thank you SO much for this recipe, i modified it to use tofu instead of chicken which worked perfect since i was trying to figure out what to do with a half pack (400g) of it and it came out really great!
I made this once the video came out and it's soooo yummy, I am back to get the link to make it again. It's a Favorite in my house. Marion's food is outstanding !!!!!!
I finally got around to cooking this, as it took a while to find Szechuan Pepercorns here in Australia. I really enjoyed this dish, I can see how you can leave out the Szechuan Peppercorns if you don't like them as they have a distinctive taste (which I liked) so don't let that hold you up trying this. This is something you can prep the night before and then fry the chicken and do the final combination the next day in no time at all.
Marion, I just really thank you for all your recipe. I try a lot of your recipe and every recipe is just so Amazing. Simple, but they all have a beautiful taste.
I can’t believe I lived without Marion for so long 😫
