Big Train, The Day Today, JAM, Brass Eye, Nighty Night, Smack The Pony... And obviously EVERYTHING Alan Partridge. Best of BBC comedy for me growing up.
'That guy is a WANKER!' - It's great how this is emphasized by the sound mixing. However, due to this sketch, if I ever hear the name 'Henderson', I immediately think: 'That guy is a WANKER!' So, if there are any Hendersons out there - I apologise.
This sketch is not that funny. There are much funnier sketches. This is just the same gag repeated until it's not funny anymore, and I only slightly chuckled the first time.
considering that's also his look come Hot Fuzz, Star Trek (only that he's ginger?), and Ghost Protocol, this made me exhale through my nose harder than I should
I just love it how it ties in with the boss coming in one afternoon and telling THEM they have to stop wanking in the office. The righteous indignation is gold
- Liverpool FC has now confirmed the purchase of Jordan Henderson - Oh no, not him... - He said 'Jordan Henderson' - Oh, I thought he said 'Tom Henderson' (complaining continues)
Big Train was in another stratosphere as far as sketch comedys go , Pegg Eldon and Heap absolutely smash every scene theyre in , my personal favourite is the monk scene , comedy gold, their timing is perfection
Pretty straightforward, they respond to the first name with what amounts to just a cacophony of noise. Clearly it's a different noise for the last name. Slightly surreal but I imagine that's the crux of it.
Agreeing with Kelp Kelp but also the gag is based on timing and each having a unique response with one just 'out' of time on the last swear word. At the end they're all in perfect unison with the same response like a ritual. :)
Our admin dept manager at the time was called Tom Henderson (actually a nice guy) - the days at work after this scene aired were absolute gold...
No way, I can't believe it, that guy is a wanker!
*interrupts half way through your reply* No way! You must be joking etc etc.
@@andrewdarbyshire8516 actual lol. Well played
Nice, sounds like your Tom Henderson wasn't a wanker
Please get me a job at your place lol
Fantastic.. Pegg's expression is brilliant.
He's world champion at keeping a straight face.
Cant stop watching it. Great
THE GUYYYY'S A WANKEEER lol
The best bit
Pegg, Eldon, and Heap were and are all amazing at playing normal men who really, really aren't
i can't agree more.Simon is very funny and attractive.
@@aperry8810 I always remember that scene whenever anyone mentions Acton.
And Davis, you sexist

The more Simon Pegg did his part the funnier it got. 🤣
This is one of those clips I can watch every week and still laugh every time.
I love how the boss just stops talking to let them do the whole routine
I love Simon Pegg's expression when he says his bit :D
Love this sketch. One of my favourites... Big train first series is such a classic. 👌🏻

Henderson is a WANKER
It's not sound mixing he's just saying it when everyone else goes quiet.
Remember that 80s sasquatch movie; Bigfoot and the Wankers?

Years ago I met a British guy online who got me on to the sketch comedy. This was one of the first videos I’ve seen and I’ve loved them every since
I think Tom Benderson would have been more suitable for the position...
No way, I cannot believe it! The guy is a w.. ohh, Tom Benderson? Sorry.
Or Ben Genderson.
He's A wanker!!!!
FUck tom benderson
@@NxDoyle…or Jen Tenderson.
Referencing this skit is always my litmus test for whether or not i'll befriend someone.
I haven't spoken face to face with anyone in eight years.
Interestingly enough, this skit came to mind just now and not 2 minutes later I got a like on this comment.
@@adrianjasso8835 That's extraordinary.

@@rezalucien9325 Good to know.
Simon's face back then was so perfectly round and pale and smooth, it looked like a paper plate. He was an amazing blank slate for comedy.
That's the most brilliant back-handed compliment I've ever seen

I always thought he looked like a Trumpton/Camberwick Green character
This is possibly the best comment I've ever read.
One of my all-time favourite clips. Never gets old
big train was just great this sketch the Cake factory sketch and the artist formerly known as prince brilliant all three
Perhaps it's because they warmed it up....
Best ever comedy sketch show...the DVD is a must buy!
Love the Big Tran Office sketches. So relatable to typical office work and aptitudes.
Wow, young Simon Pegg was the spitting image of Tin Tin.
Every time someone mentions Big Train this is the sketch I always remember.
Simon Pegg = Legend.
Oh my god...Simon...so YOUNG. And omfg that guy who's in the blue shirt played Brian in Spaced....
enablurr mark heap
Legendary in blue jam/brass eye
And Jim from Friday Night Dinner
Pegg was also in Spaced of course, and Kevin Eldon too as a piss-take Matrix agent
Where has this show and clips been all my life!? Just discovered them!
That blond guh gets me all the time 🤣😂😭
Simon Pegg ❤❤❤
I cannot fathom how many times I’ve watched this in 24 hours
One of the best of all time for its sheer sillyness, you just have to mention this to someone who gets it and you cant stop pissing yourself
'......the guy is a wanker!' - classic!

I see Simon Pegg, I click
this never gets old.. xD
Pegg should have got the Oscar nod for this !
The other guy, on the left, says "Oh, no. Not him! You must be joking..."
Classic timing. Big Train is genius.
Yes, the timing is immaculate.
I love Simon!

Dont forget Bullmore (she was fucking amazing in Jam) Davi’s, Oberman, Front and Tate.

This got me thinking about all the real Tom Hendersons who are Office Managers, there must be one somewhere...........
26 people are off to change their surname to Benderson.
Repeat till funny
Love it
"very strong language" - I was told you had something a little,,, stronger ?
Heh !

Funniest thing ever, I love this sketch
Pegg and Eldon going together like Geezer Butler and Tony Iomi
I really thought the guy making the announcement would be Tom Henderson!
Oh no way, I can't believe it, that guy is a wanker!

lol great sketch
Love that sketch
when they all go hocta hocta hocta it cracks me up :P
That must have taken ages to get the timing right in each shot
Nope. They got it in one take.
I read that "HOCTA" means Hierarchically Optimal Classification Tree Analysis
With the shoulder shrug it means Homogenised Outlay Combined Tri-Annually.
no way i dont belieeve it that guy is a WANKER. i love simon peggs lines
Did they just say hawk tuah hawk tuah hawk tuah?

I just came here to make this comment and found I'd already made it two years ago

Paging Paul Whitehouse.

What is "Hockda" ? Or "hockter", I must have bad heard. O_ô
Very funny !! ^^=

Haha, this is hilarious!
If anyone can explain the 'hockata, hockata etc.' that would be great.
Just needed something to end the joke, that’s all
Just beautiful absurdity.
If it has to be explained its not funny
Actually he said "I cannot believe it" not "you must be joking" also congrats on understanding the audio in the video
The other guy said that. He was right.
Thought Pegg was going to get up at the end, confirming Tom Henderson was, in fact, him
Guy on the bottom right is funny, expect big things from him in the future.
I wish "Brian" would've appeared in any part of the trilogy.
johnhall77 you mean the actor or Brian? because the actor was a barman in one of the pubs in world's end.
I would love to work there!
I wouldn’t, haven't you heard who the manager is?
What a show
@jankath fantastic. cheers.
This show reminds me of a more lighthearted JAM? Why? Because so many of the cast except Simon Pegg are all in this.
Didn't recognise Jim without Wilson 😂
A very young Simon Pegg
Our new manager in department 😁
Brilliant

the director of the last 4/8 of the movie franchise just likes to torment him emotionally
I am an old German guy and I just love British humour but here I am lost at the end of this joke, what do they say after he names Mandy Ward?
