Feel very blessed as an Indian today that all the Muslims who despised India and chased a Turkik/Arabic/Persian/Pathan identity packed their bags and left for their very own nation.
It was bloody and tragic, but a price well and truly paid a long long time ago.
Good luck to them in their country we are happy with ours
    Thank you.

What is the problem with a Turkic/Arabic identity? It was the British who divided Indians along these identities and people like you fell for it easily. The British loved Indians like you who played into their hands.

What kind of comment is that. There are Muslims who opted for Pakistan because they didn't feel safe not because of hate. There are other Muslim families who stayed in India like mine, and whose country is India just as much as any other person. By the way, just because a Muslim may have Turk/Arab/Pathan ancestry it doesn't make them any less Indian.
Leave your bigotry behind and don't bother commenting such ridiculous things.

    • @nikhileshsingh7139
      @nikhileshsingh7139 2 месяца назад +2

I have specifically mentioned only the Muslims who left, not the ones who stayed back at all. Whether they left because they hated India or feared India, it's the same difference.
Regarding ancestory again I specifically spoke of ones who chased that and despised India and not the ones who did not hate India or indeed staying in India.
I have enough Pashto/Persian Indian Muslims friends who are a credit to India today.
There was no bigotry in my comment, just a tacit understanding after all these years that as painful and bloody as the whole business of the partition was, when it happened; it was actually for the best for all.
Also in the end I wished the ones who chose to leave all the best in their country and when I said said we are happy with ours, not for a second did I exclude you or our Pashto/Persian/Turkik countrymen; it is equally ours...all of us included

You are right. Otherwise they would be stuck with ppl like u, who force those Muslims who stayed to scream Ram’s name or risk their lives by carrying the wrong kind of meat! And you are right, it was fear of the new Hindu majority that worried the Muslims who saw what the RSS had planned for minorities.

As a 74 years old Pakistani gentleman, this show brought back of old memories of 1950, 60s when we used to have visitors from North Indian cities. They were better
educated with broder look at politics of Pakistan and India.
Sometimes I wonder if partition was realy necessary.

It says 'by 1946, partition was still avoidable', but they talk about, as far as I understood, their personal stories, which are also not partition stories, and both of them are probably in UK now.
I heard about Lucknow, it seems all the intrigues in the world took place at Lucknow. How people there were/are so proud, still, to have worked with foreign rulers, Mughals, British, and to have conspired against their own land. How they travelled, by sea, while refugees were being killed in trains, on the roads, in the towns, in Punjab, to Karachi post partition and continued their intrigues, this time against Pakistan.
As far as I could make out of their stories, they have now an Identity crisis, because all their lives they thought only about their carrier, and not of their own roots/culture.
Now they find themselves mentally asunder, neither here nor there, neither English nor Indian/Pakistani would like to relate with them. Maybe, I don't know.
Entertainment doesn't give long enough peace of mind! Give up, stop deceiving yourselves.

Might it be worth that you read history and educate yourself about the cabinet mission plan that Jinnah from the All India Muslim League and Azad president of the Indian National Congress accepted and therefore partition was shelved. But then came along Nehru (after taking over from Azad) and said that he would tear apart the Cabinet Mission plan.
So yes, until Nehru took over the presidency of the Indian national congress in 1946, partition indeed was going to be avoided.

British India was not a country, rather a colonial empire, never one or whole. It should have been further divided and South Asia would be at peace.
Mountbatten or Dick y, intimate friend of Nehru wanted to give freedom to all 500 states, but Nehru convinced hin with his sort of charm not to go that way. Muslins are still a nation in India, and Pakistan is a state of mind. Which is to be free, a concept, a class ridden and extreme misogynist society can never imagine.

There was nobpartition, it's a complete myth.
India was always a subcontinent and never a country. Lots of independent kingdoms and states existed within it, that had been fighting, conquering and butchering each other for centuries, pretty much what had happened in Europe. Could we say Europe is partitioned!
At the end of the British raj, two new counteries emerged. Those many kingdoms were asked if and who they wanted to become a part of.
One of the new country called itself Pakistan, the other however conscripted the name of the subcontinent for itself. Even more ironic is the fact that the words India and Hindustan come from a place that became part of Pakistan.
Imagine if a large country emerges in Asia and then it chooses to call itself Asia, it's sounds absurd but that's exactly what happened in the subcontinent of India.
India's very identity comes from s province and a river of Pakistan, Sindh and river Indus respectively

      Incorrect. "India" is an exonym.
The Bharata endonym actually does refer to ancient Gangetic plains.

This is why Muslims are low on education charts, India was a name that came from Persia and Greeks , by the time it got to the English it was India lol , the reason is similar to ancient greek , yes many kingdoms existed but as a collective they were known as indic from language to culture. And these descriptions come from writing we have from ancient Greece, Rome , Egypt and so on lol , you've clearly never looked into any real history 😂
