Night vision is cool, i built my own for my 3-9x40 scope on my Gas powered bolt action Air rifle. I used a Sony sensor and a pretty powerful Ir illuminator and i can see 150m/164yds/493ft with ease, i also have a dvr to record whats being seen by the camera. I think i have spent more time just playing seeing in the dark than i have using it to actually shoot, it is also good for daytime shooting where you want to record or just look at a screen instead of down a scope :)
If you use a separate IR illuminator you will get longer range and a crisper image Fred. Also the IR will white out the image due to the IR bouncing of leaves and other surfaces.
Thanks foir sharing Fred. I think night vision equipment is gradually becomeing more affordable and may soon be an item on my wish list. lol. It is not every day we'd need such technology but it is a handy tool if you are a hiker or an outdoors person. This would get you out of a lot of trouble if you got lost at night. It is great also for keepinbg an eye on your property at night when things go 'bump in the night' and you are trying to find out what is going on outside.
Hi. Bit of both really. The eye relief is very good as when you look into the eyepiece you really just viewing a small LCD screen inside unlike a lens monocular. I wear glasses no problem with the scope.
Got one of those myself £50 second hand use vcsel 850nm laser torch '£18 aliexpress' with it, in the rail underneath it goes out to 200 yards+ love watching the wild life out in the fields behind my house next purchase when I have the dosh is a ssb rig had an ss3900 but sold it when I got married probably get a ss6900n and a silver rod 😀
Hello, my name is Oscar and I am writing to you from Buenos Aires, Argentina, and I ask you what battery you use the monocular with because I bought a monocular just like it and the battery that came included lasts a short time, it goes down quickly, thanks!

Your review is a flop, the second you turned it on, it daylight, without a black lens cap with the tiny hole in it. You may very well have ruined it, by exposing the sensor to full light.

Like you say, it would have been a better camera without the 5x fixed zoom.

These cheap digital scopes are not like the Gen 2 or 3 scopes. You can actually use then in daylight.
