Well Japan lowkey makes good equipments, from subs (some of the best conventional ships available), destroyers, tanks, even assault rifles. But due to that WW2 taboo shit, they don't export

They started by copying American products , and started making their own designs.
In other words , that's exactly what china is doing , transforming into a leading technology innovation. hub

We need to learn from Japan in so many fields.
& also if possible get some these as a backup. In case things go wrong with US & it ban or restrict the sales of spares & supplies to India as a arms twister.
Surely these will be costly, but a big deal could be proposed by ind. In joint production of P1, K2/P2.

Using fly by optical fiber makes it resistant to any jamming by radio waves or other radiations. I believe that must have been the main reason for this technology adoption. Also the magnetic anomalies detectors will also not interfered by the internal control signals. Thanks for this video on the Mitsubishi P1.

Pretty sure they made this after ToT from our PSUs. Our DPSUs have gained respect and admiration from the world and India through groundbreaking products like INSAS, Rustom, Tapas, Tejas, TEDBF, AMCA, Arjun, Sintex CIWS etc..
In a fair competition the PSUs will bankrupt the private sector, no doubt 👍✌️

Because japanese are known to be punctual and i think with them we can develop our jet engine in record time without any further delays.

If Japanese allow them to export, then we can surely opt for additional 6P8I & 18 Kawasaki P1 MPA for our Navy as MPA.
Also acquire Minesweepers from Japanese at much lower prices.

we can do things like that with innovation, lekin funding chahiye phir daba ke
possible toh sab hai, bas funding nahi rukni chahiye, and IAF aur government ko full support dena padega to Private and Defence PSU industries, 24/7, for 1 decade straight
tab jaake ham bhi bana sakte hain essa kuch
Japan pe bhi engines ki knowledge nahi hai, phir bhi apne normal engines se hi kaam chala rahe hain and innovatively improve karke use karr rahe hain
Kaveri ko bhi continuous funding milti agar last 2 decades main, plus fully government backed rehta, toh pakka aaj Kaveri khud M88 aur GE F404 yahan takk ki GE F414 takk ko peeche chhod deta
lekin things didnt go right... and here we are...
