Dublin piper and pipe-maker Leo Rowsome plays a rousing set of marches: - The Irish Emigrant / Wearing of the Green / the Irish Rover / the Minstrel Boy. Rowsome was one of the most talented musicians to ever emerge from Ireland. He had a prolific recording career, was an influential teacher, and was Ireland's leading pipe-maker for many years when the craft had almost died out. Leo's style of playing was joyful and exciting, and he had a wonderful talent for regulator vamping to accompany the melody. The video clip shows Leo at work in his workshop making a chanter and a reed.
