  • This video shows you how to make your logo a block in Solidworks.
    This is a basic tutorial that looks at how you can use blocks to create your custom logo.
    Firstly, the video shows how to import your logo and scale
    Secondly, it shows how to create sketches and then turn the sketch geometry into blocks and how you can save the blocks that can be used multiple times or used in other parts or later.
    We then look at an example of how you can use blocks in part modelling

    Dan, good stuff. I had never seen the "Disolve Sketch Text" before.
    As far as a better way to do this process, it would probably be to do the Logo in illustrator and then transfer the logo to solidworks using a .DXF file. Its still a clunky method, but it is probably a bit faster than recreating everything.
