    How do you feel about the Longbow nerfs? And this patch in general? It seems to me that most of the time RNG has more say on if I am in a win or no-win scenario and this patch has dialed it up to 11. Then added an random number to that.

      I like the idea of it but it feels kinda rough for your towers around the spawn.... I think overall it does make stuff a bit tougher especially on ballista only.

      The longbow nerf is anoying. While it was clear that the range had to be nerved it makes it impossible to get any value from your starting towers. I think it would have been bettwer if they'd just switched the position of the range and the improved crit cards. This way it would be much harder to get +6 range

    Based on just the number of runs I got destroyed between levels 36-40, I'm going to say the Invader enemies with the machine-gun-missile-firing tanks are the worst. Base game is probably similar difficulty to the Plutonic solids IMO, at least in 1 and 2 lane, even tho you need so much health damage and they split several times each, it's also simpler to deal with as there are no ultra-fast missiles or eyeballs shooting out constantly.

      Nice yeah, the armor guys at both 26 and 36 feel like a min roll on monster RNG. Both feel like you very little time to react before getting overrun.

    How do mines help haunted houses? I thought mines just healed your central tower and gave it more hitpoints.

      Haunted houses were patched to be based in tower health

      Yeah they give a percent of your towers health as gold. I think 70% at max upgrade? So at 75 health we get 3.75x(75/20) more gold from our haunted houses from mines/fortification. I think they are pretty required if you want to go haunted houses.

    If monster A has 20 out of 500 health, and monster B has 30 out of 400 health, which monster will a ballista tower set to most health target?

      Monster B I think. Near death is the only percentage based one AFAIK. Not 100% positive though.

    I rewatched this after having a lot of trouble on 3 lane in general (haven't tried ballista only but most of the +1 tower attempts start off as basically ballista only) and I am surprised at how often you manually upgrade towers in the early game. Many guides and other people have suggested building more towers over upgrading until late game when new towers get expensive but you were cranking 5-10 levels into towers from the very beginning. It's obviously working for you, just wanted to mention it. Perhaps because in 3 lane you have generally less time to kill enemies since your lanes are shorter then the damage per shot becomes more important? I'll try juicing a bit and see if that helps.
    Also, it's kinda cheesing but with the speedup mod you can expand into wave 44 or 45 then pause and sell your haunted houses so you get all the money from those last expands. You can't scroll the map when paused so it's a little annoying but it's worth it. Same with universities on level 45, frees up a lot of gold to pump into the last wave.

      Hmm interesting haven't really read any guides for the game. Ballista only is easier than some of the ballista + other IMO. At least if you try and use both - you can always do ballista only then late game grab one of a tower lol. Spamming towers is kinda like incoming because you get more experience which saves you money later but AFAIK for min maxing DPS upgrading very rapidly becomes better than building more, especially the first ~10 upgrades. With the current patch for this type of run I think the gold you get from haunted houses is so much that you are better off upgrading early and investing in HH/mines, vs spamming for the experience "income". Could be completely off base tho - haven't done the math on it.

      Speed only - well technically I have the respec/refund upgrades installed as well but those are only for messing with the metaprogression

    Trust me dude this new updateisnt that hard, i promise, especially with YOUR experience, u will get used to it after, like, 5 games per mode max 🙂
    edit: also, Mana Syphon is ur best friend, cubes r plenty, its uncommon to get a map with little cubes

    i dont understand your targeting priority. why not just simple shield stripping and then armor stripping? at the end, go for near death...

      A good amount of them are on that or something functionally equivalent. You do have to be a bit careful about overkilling with a bunch of identical targeting especially near death.
      Other targeting is for lots of different things, killing splitting units earlier, finishing off shields/armor for blinking units, thinning out the waves.
      I'll try to explain more why I'm doing certain targeting!

      Just houses basically. I think they are too good to pass up now though. At least if you are doing 3 way.
