I'm a diehard UT fan and I really wanna love Sark but I keep finding myself just liking him a lot. He's a really good coach who has struggled in some of the big games. Leaps and bounds ahead of anyone though post 09
The road to winning a national championship has never been as difficult as it is now. I am not saying it wasn't difficult in the BCS or 4 team playoff era, I am just saying its more difficult now. The transfer portal and NIL made the entire sport more competitive , and difficult to retain talent/depth. Then, even if you make the playoff, you will need to win 3 or 4 games in a row against top 10 teams. I personally think making the playoff and winning at least one playoff game is a level of success, unless that win was against G5 teams😆. Making the semi puts you in elite category and making the title game, especially winning it, is the pinnacle. Sark has already been to the semi twice. If he even makes the final four again you have to put him amongst the best head coaches in CFB and will have a pretty solid legacy at Texas.
