The film's director and cinematographer Santhosh Sivan has shot this song inspired by the paintings of famous painter Raja Ravi Varma. Most of the shots in the song 'Pinakamano' begin with a wooden frame with the subject within the frame, resembling a Ravi Varma painting, and then interact with the second character. Ravi Varma's paintings like 'Woman holding a fruit', 'Nair lady adorning her hair', 'Hamsa Dhamayanthi', 'The Milkmaid', and many others are recreated in the song.
BTW, "Pinakkamano, ennodinakkamano" meaning: "Are you cross with me? Or are you tame with me?".
