The criticism about Reese's gesture was a red herring to draw attention from the fact that a bench warmer, J. Carson, left the bench in the second quarter and outscored Clark's production for the entire first half, and perhaps, could have equaled or exceeded Clark's production if she had fully played the second half. Clark was projected to deliver the championship nearly singlehandedly to Iowa. That projection was extremely problematic by the end of the first half, LSU up by 17 points, which was the margin of victory. Carson and company spotted the team 17 points. Morris helped recapture that margin in the second half. Reese was correct when she said that LSU wasn't "a one-man team."

That was about Jill extending an invitation to Iowa because "they played a great game too." And I completely understood her frustration. The runner up is never invited because they played a great tournament. I thought she took it a bit overboard with the taunting after the game was over but that's just my opinion. Everyone expected South Carolina to repeat and Clark and her Hawkeyes wanted it more. But in the end the Tigers brought home the title and they earned it. Congratulations to all the women who made it into the tourney it was easily more entertaining than the men's. My hats off to the LSU Tigers for an incredible tournament run. With the additions of the girl from DePaul and Louisville they easily look like the favorites to repeat.

Well, now that the new NCAA season has started, and LSU has drama after completing just 3 games, there is an increasing scrutiny on the key players on this high-profile team.
Not that this is the most important item the team is dealing with right now, but it probably should be noted that her claim of higher ratings in her Finals game than what the men had, that claim is not true.
The 2023 Womens Final averaged 9.9 million TV viewers, while the Mens Final averaged 14.6 million viewers.
The 2023 NCAA Mens Finals even beat the 2022 NBA Finals of the Warriors vs Celtics.
The Womens Final certainly has its highest ratings ever, but it did not surpass the Mens Final as she erroneously claimed. It did not even come close to either of the two Mens Final Four games.
But this is a small matter when compared to the budding drama surrounding Angel Reese and its effect upon her teammates, her NIL viability, and the deteriorating relationships amongst the parents of these players.
LSU Women's Basketball is turning into a real-life BET ratchet TV show.

@@carloshambrick2586 Yes, everyone is entitled to their own thoughts, so with that in mind, I will say this. Just because most people in the European culture doesn't use the slang phrase "just saying" doesn't mean that people from other cultures can't use it. To me the only source that is allowed to set the standard of how we (as human beings) should communicate and behave amongst each other in this world is the Most High Yah (God). So whatever other races of people deem as the correct way of how we (as humans) should do things is of no concern to me. The only standard I will follow of how to talk and live my life will be the standard set by the Most HIgh Yah (God) himself and Yahshua (Christ) via the Holy Bible. Shalom.

Notice a trend - somebody buy Morris a shirt.😁 She is suit jacket and thats it. Same thing at the WNBA draft. I love her and her story is inspiring. Hope she does well in Connecticut. Can't put her in a box.

That's only your opinion. LSU had so many talented players that it's hard to pick just one. My goodness, they really killed that game.🙂

And one person can't win a basketball game.
Angel Reese plays TEAM ball and had tons of talent around her.
She's also the double double Queen, since you "forgot" to mention that.
You also "forgot" to say that with Alexis Morris on defense, Caitlin couldn't score as freely as she's used to.
Put some more respect on Angel Reese, Flau'jae, and Alexis.

Angel Reese is wrong, the men's national championship game between UConn and SDSU had 14.7 million viewers. Nearly 5 million more viewers than the women's national championship game.

    So proud of these ladies.
There is one set of rules for us and no rules when it comes to them and if you dare challenge the status quo they will always let you know what time it is. Incredibly hard being a blk woman in a racist world that expects you to dim your light, but we still rise and we still keep shining ✊🏽❤️❤️
