They opened the doors to more loyal fandoms by introducing a real and more humane way of presenting themselves, aka by becoming variety idols, which is now why most kpop fans stay in this hallyu wave and not just quit when they realize all songs sound almost the same. Looking at these congratulatory videos I can tell that they are a different kind of idols, they were left by themselves most of the time and although that took a toll on their actual music product, it has kept the strongest fan base in kpop. ELFs are fans that connected to them in more meaningful ways than just their looks or their dorky sides, it's been all the true feelings and things that they have taught us, like unconditional friendship and overcoming challenges despite what other people say. I am so happy they have reached this age as a group, but in reality I never felt like it wasn't possible, at this point, really I don't thing they'll ever part ways. So ELFs, let us be the fandom that exists forever, I will be an ELF until the end of my days because at the lowest points in my young 18-year-old life, they have been part of the motivation that has helped me move through and accomplish so much. THANK YOU SUPER JUNIOR FOR THE BEST PAST 4 YEARS IN MY LIFE!! I wish you all the best for your careers!!
