- Sky News can exclusively reveal former prime minister Scott Morrison will be joining leading Trump administration figures at two separate companies.
Sky News host Sharri Markson says her US sources tell her he will be working with former secretary of state Mike Pompeo at a defence VC company.
Pompeo, the former head of the CIA, announced he was joining DYNE Maritime earlier this month.
The company is an Australian-founded US-based venture capital company which invests in technologies related to the AUKUS military intelligence sharing pact.
Morrison and Pompeo became good friends during their time in politics, sharing common ground when it comes to their passion for national security, their concerns about the Chinese Communist Party and their deep personal faith.
The former prime minister will join also join Trump's former national security advisor Robert O'Brien at the firm he co-founded and is chairman of, American Global Strategies.
Morrison will still be based in Sydney’s Sutherland Shire, but it's likely he will be traveling overseas.
His roles with both Pompeo and O'Brien - who played key roles in Trump's presidency - will be helpful if Trump does return to the White House which is looking increasingly likely.
Morrison made no attempt to have Assange freed, pretty obvious why he didn't now.
