This song has helped me with my divorce. I was lost and broken and the way we'd get back together and break up again, was killing me. Deep down i knew it was over after 28 yrs being together. The raw emotion and honesty in this track is unmatched. It took me 2 years to make it through this song dry eyed. Thank you Justin and Taylor fort this heart piece of work.

Someone needs to hire the maker of this video. It brings us back to when music videos told a story to go with the song back in the 80’s (like Aha’s “Take on Me”). Anyone can show a video of someone signing, but this is genius.
Omg yes! The symbolism is perfect. When I hear this song, I think of a love story. And this video combined with this song, to me, is telling the greatest love story of all! What if we are all literally living inside a great love story. What if two celestial beings who created all of this, the Earth and living things, had a falling out of some type?! This song is just fantastic…not being a part of her target audience I never really listened to much of Taylor. This song though has made me appreciate what an incredible artist she really is…
I completely agree! Not really her demographic. However, there are a few songs over the past 3 or so years that I was extremely impressed with and absolutely adore!
I mean she is one of the lyricists with most success of all times, her songs become hits, she has a wide vocal range, she is a good person and charismatic, she can put on a show and also captivate in more intimate songs like this. She has a large following for something. I appreciated her more after watching the documentary about her on Netflix, which is called Miss Americana.

Honestly I think her demographic is anyone who likes music as poetry. Pigeon holing her as for only very young women is just kinda what the industry does to female artists. She may be a more prolific song writer than Stevie Nicks.

Damn this song reminds me when my husband and I went through a huge break up before we got married. When we broke up I dated some else and he knew. But that relationship didn’t feel right, so months later my now husband found our way back to each other. He’s my town (my home) 🥰. Just being real with y’all for no reason at all.

Never been a t-swift fan but Justin Vernon makes her sound amazing. My wife listens to t-swift so I’ve heard plenty of her songs, and there’s years of difference in the maturity of lyrics and music that Justin Vernon brought in. Great song!
I don’t understand what you mean by maturity of the lyrics justin brought in. Taylor wrote the lyrics and send it to justin and he liked it thats why he agreed to joined in. Taylor Swift was always been writing mature music but she dont usually put them out as singles. I advice you listen to this album. Not just this one alone. Also, Taylor wrote the melody of this song with her boyfriend.
