The "problem" with Liverpool is the same that all top teams go through in a season - periods of either questionable defending or missing chances. This is why the table is so close even though Liverpool have only lost twice.
Apart from the mistake, Quansah played a fantastic game.
A mistake of such magnitude makes that fact meaningless. Totally shocking for this level, it was lazy.

How you deal with/react to such a mistake shows what kind of player you are.
We should have been at least 3:0 up at halftime and this mistake should have led to 3:1 and not 1:1!

It’s very simple our fwd line don’t score enough goals, we haven’t got a single fwd anywhere near the top ten for shot to conversion chart, our percentage is similar to Brentford and Bournemouth, we have had 300 more shots on goal than Newcastle, for the return of 8 more goals, that is shocking

The problem with Jota is that he's injury prone, every season he would miss 12 - 15 weeks of games and that's too much.
This one really wasn't his fault. He was in great form and then somebody landed on his knee from 6 ft in the air. Really unfortunate

The problem with Liverpool is their play around the box. Too many of their shots are under massive pressure with a defender in front of them easily blocking it. They dont try to create space for the shot and then at least beating first defender. Then the problem is keeping the ball down and not going high and wide. For the amount of shots they have a tiny percentage of making the goalkeeper make a save. At anfield in the 70s and 80s away keepers usually came away from the game being man of the match and the respect of the kop. Long time ago though.
Var is also a big part of Liverpool not winning the league. When you look at Tottenham offside Diaz goal and penalty on maccalister and much more

Problem was, there were too many times when LFC didnt take the 1 touch that they needed to set up their shots. To many one-time shots (that were not controlled).

Virgil is the only recognized starter from the back 4 and GK that's regularly played this season. Jota's clinical finishing is sorely missed. Liverpool shouldn't even be in the title chase with their injuries.
There's no problem with Liverpool. The fact we're on 71 points is way above where we should be. Most of our regular defence been out injured for months, Jota being out, plus the other absences along the way. I'd have bitten your hand off to finish top 4 this season. Should be top had it not been for refs as well. Arsenal are the best team this season and deserve the title, but Liverpool deserve nothing but praise. Especially when you see the money MU and Chelsea have spent and where they are.

We’re getting Alisson, Trent, Ibou, Jota back so even though Kelleher, Bradley and Quansah have stepped in well we will keep more clean sheets now AND score even more goals per game now

Just an observation. Rory said that if Arsenal win all their games they will win the league. It's not true. Arsenal has the edge in goal difference but have same amount points. So if Liverpool get into their mentality monster mode and win all their games they can overcome Arsenal goal difference. Difficult, but still in Liverpool hands. City can't say the same thing
We have attacking players that don’t score. I want a proper, more static no.9 to play through the middle. May affect play but goals are needed.

Klopp has been desperate to play Elliott all season long. Taking quality players off the pitch to get Elliott on has caused Liverpool to drop points. Being desperate to put an inexperienced participant who has 2 PL goals with 850 minutes played. Klopp took Salah off the pitch in game one against Chelsea. Liverpool needs the two dropped points in match day one?

Look, I'm a United fan and I'm distinctly aware of how shit we are as a team. We rely mostly on moments of magic and individual quality to eke out results. Absolute facts we're dog water yet Liverpool couldn't beat us twice in the league this season. There's no way players like Nunez, Gapko, Jota, Elliott, Bradley are title winning standard players either. They've had a lot of luck this season but they'll still fall short. Once Klopp leaves it will be back to the normal Liverpool we saw in the 90s and early 2000s

No. Most LFC are not arrogant at all. It’s the idiots on Social Media talking crap and backchatting because they’re 15-20 years old. There’s also the typical crap chatting footie fans (all clubs have them). Most of us LFC fans know the team shouldn’t be anywhere near that top 1-3 this year, we just lost 6 midfielders, and doing rebuild. But, they have been resilient and put together some good performances and they are trying their best. And that is all you can ask from them. That forward line has the same problem as last season - conversion/clinical. It’s a good side, but, it’s not vintage LFC side of a few years ago, no way even close to it. We need a lot of fine tuning. We just see where the chips fall. That’s life and that’s football.
Do not forget the 1 or possible 3 points we'd have got at Spurs if not for the greatest clanger any set of refs have ever dropped.

Kelleher, Bradley, Quansah, Van Dijk and Robertson, if you said at the start of the season that Liverpool would draw at old Trafford with Quansah, Bradley and Kelleher, I would've well taken that, the difference between Man U and Liverpool is that with the injuries both teams have had, Liverpool sit joint 1st on points and Man U are only just fighting for a Europa League place

One of the problems with Liverpool is that they've been cheated of 5 to 7 points by PGMOL. We'd been well clear in 1st place if not for Spurs goal just not counted because they couldn't be bothered, Chelsea handball in the penalty area, Arsenal with Odegaard playing basketball in the penalty area, Doku going studs up into MacAllister's chest etc etc etc. If we just got a point per PGMOL apology we'd be 1st.
The advantage was blown but they are still in the race with players coming back from injuries, we know an entire season is full of twist and turns.
I don't think, truthfully, that we were really anyone's favourites at the start of the season and, don't get me wrong, Old Trafford was a slip... We're classing it as a slip though because Arsenal and Citey drew the week before, giving us a 2pt advantage. We have now dropped back to joint top on points. To suggest that is bottling anything is a bit mad. I still don't think we're favourites but we are in the conversation and that us more than I'd expected. 7 to go💪

I have always maintained the stance, that man city are favorites and will win the league. I don't believe in Arsenal at all and also, I don't want Arsenal to win it, I'd rather Man city win it than Arsenal, because if Arsenal win it, it means something, If man city win it, it means nothing, because of the 115. Why aren't United considering getting J.Klopp on board ? He is PL proven, a winner, a builder of great clubs, speaks english fluently, is currently employed in the UK and I know that he isn't keen on becoming a club manager in england again but he can easily be tempted into taking the No.2 gig.

I will say upfront I'm a United fan but I actually want to show a little bit of support for young Qwansa. He is a KID and he misplaced a pass slightly, that's all. NOBODY expected Bruno to do what he did afterwards and he was probably the only player on that pitch for either side who would have even thought about trying what he did, let alone pull it off. So don't ruin the lad for one little error, if you want to blame anyone blame your idiot keeper for being in no mans land sound asleep. The fact that there was a CB under 20 at both ends of the pitch in a Utd/Lpl derby is mental and it was nearly Big Willy who made the game's biggest mistake, he just managed to recover his.
