missed installing cam chain tensioner bolt. Mine fell out while riding. lost, have new one. Can I just stick it in? Is there way to miss hole in tensioner and still get bolt in? your video led me to believe that I can just stick it in if it fits.
Wait, what model and year is your atc. Mine is an older model with out the tensioner being on the side of the cylinder. on my 200s the spring loaded tensioner is internal. give me details and ill give you an answer to my question.
woah hold on, im beginning to understand what youre talking about and how my tensioner works. the way mine works is you dont tighten the screw to give it more chain tension but instead loosen it. Im 99.99 percent positive thats how this style tensioner works. idk why it was designed that way but thats how they did it. in my honest opinion I would pull the cover for the cam chain and see if its still tight, if so then im right, when you push the chain to the side it should bend but with tension and spring back. try that and get back to me, im trying to narrow down a fix for you because if im right and you end up sticking a bolt in there you might make it worse.
XD the flat top was useless since it was loose in the bore, he actually gained power with the dished piston and new jug because there isn't any blow by. If he used the old flat dish, he runs the risk of a possible damaged piston
Looks exactly like a atc 185 piston in a 200, if it did run, it ran because the piston strokes and crankshafts are the same on both engines, one is 180cc, other is 192, absolutely no other difference in the motors
I would take the valve cover off and believe me here, scrape the gasket off that was put on there, from the factory it never had any gasket there, for one reason, the camshaft and bushings and rocker arms. It doesn't have that gasket there because once again, it wasn't made to, so basically the camshaft, and bushing are loose
Would this video work on a 1984 trx200?
NEVER USE TO MUCH RTV.....IT WILL MAKE ITS WAY THRU THE MOTOR AND CAN CAUSE BAD THINGS. USE WITH CARE👍

hheywire 1987 TLR 200. cam chain tensioner is shown during video, but bolt installation not shown, just all of a sudden it's there

hheywire thanks
You replaced a flat top piston with a dish piston. Did performance suffer? Why didn't you just buy a larger flat top or even dome piston?

all the top end parts off a 185 will fit any 200 atc made even the shaft drives
Excuse me boys, What torque spec do you torque the head bolts? Thanks
16 foot lbs
@@mikeshobbiesandrandomstuff bud I see u everywhere
@@444Vide0s guess we both like the old three wheelers.😀

Really! ill have to keep that in mind, although i think a little silicon would probably be ok.
185 piston in 200 head,
Ariderslife Uncut what is the torque spec on the head bolts, thanks
Yeah that's a 185 piston.
i have a 1983 yrm 200 shafr drive. and i have back fire through the carbs any ideas thanks
Adjust the valves and carb
I had one and my solution to all its problems is selling it for a Honda
People are so stupid I have the same problem with mine
