Thank you for sharing! I did my exams last month and studied with BARBRI, I’m also self funding. I don’t have my results yet but I have been preparing myself for the worst case scenario and trying to process whether I have the strength to do it again 😅 Congratulations on passing it must’ve felt so good the relief afterwards ❤
Thank you 💙 I completely understand you and definitely been in yours shoes. I really want to say that even in the worst case scenario, if you want to be a solicitor, you most likely will. It is sometimes not about IF but WHEN, so I truly wish you all the best. Meanwhile, I know how nerve-wracking the wait can be so try the best you can to enjoy as much as possible and distract yourself. Remember you got this and I believe in you!
@@thelegalmermaid Thank you so much! I got my results today. My gut was right unfortunately I did fail in the 4th quartile , so this is even more relevant to me now ! It's good to know I'm not alone! I do work FT but I will try to push for January sitting since I've done everything already, revision will have to start soon though. I will also try devils advocate to supplement barbri.
Congrats! I'm now beginning my journey and it's so nerve wrecking..when will you be taking the SQE2 and is it more difficult that SQE1?! IF you don't mind explaining what are the other routes to becoming a Solicitor?
Thank you! I will do the SQE2 exams in July 2024 and it is different, but still requires a lot of work. You are assessed differently so it might be easier than SQE1 but not to underestimate. You can become a solicitor via apprenticeship and CILEX but I think you will still need to the SQE, some exemptions may apply though. Best of luck!
Hey, it's a great video, loved it. I hope your SQE2 prep is going well. I am sitting for July session and just a little nervous. Also, wanted to ask how did you manage the subjects in which you were not performing well, like for me it is contracts right now.
Glad you enjoyed the video! For the subjects I did not perform well, I usually make notes and try to understand each concept. I adopt a global vision of things and practice specifically on these modules.
Hi there! It will depend whether you are a foreign lawyer or not. But normally you would need to prepare to pass exams to get accepted at the lawyer's school, then spend 18 months there (with an internship) where at the end you will have to pass another final exam to be able to practice. Hope this helps!
Olá! Of course, if you enroll with BARBRI, they will give you the two books and the revision book. I don't think you can get the book without the prep course. Hope this helps!
Hello! The SRA has specific regulations depending on the country. I strongly advise to contact them by email as they respond really fast and are great in helping out :)
Hi, I did my sqe1 prep course with Barbri and took the exams this July, unfortunately i failed both exams 😭😭 I tried to contact Barbri via email and asked them whether I can join their free course again since they have a guarantee scheme for those who failed the exams for the first attempt, but I received no reply from them notwithstanding that I keep sending them email. Do you know to whom I should contact? Thank you.
Hello! So sorry to hear about that. You can contact your tutor or the admission team, if not (but I believe you already did) ukstudentservices@barbri.com. Best of luck! 🩵
Thank you for sharing. Really helps to know someone who has been through this and come out successful xx
Hi there! I am happy that this video helped you and don't hesitate to contact me if you need more advice x

Hey , if you don’t mind me asking which course were you on and did you complete the course before sitting the exams?
I did the 20 weeks course with BARBRI but would recommend the 40 weeks one. I completed the course before sitting the exams yes. Hope this helps!
