Fantastic demo, thanks. You just helped me decide on my first ‘fuzzy’ fuzz. Only played muffs before now, but don’t really know what I want. The versatility of the Carcosa, should give me plenty of scope to experiment. Many thanks.
It’s funny, this pedal sometimes doesn’t sound as musical by itself as other Fuzz pedals? But, it always cuts straight through a mix. It’s noisy, and produces all kinds of artifacts, but you don’t hear them that much in a band context. It can be set to do anything from Treble Boost, thick Overdrive Fuzz to Screaming Splatter Character Fuzz, Cleans up when you lower the guitar volume, and cost under $100 NEW! -- I have had a Fuzz obsession for a while now, have strayed away from this pedal into Vintage Germanium Fuzz, Mark II, Muff, Crazy boutique Fuzz, etc. I generally play through a 5e3 clone (...which is almost a Fuzz box?), don’t need a heavy lift from a Fuzz, and the amp doesn’t deal with gain stacking well. Going back to the Carcosa. Going to play around with less intense settings to allows the color of the amp to come through, while adding a subtle Fuzz tone/boost...or dial it up for Amp-on-the-verge of DOOM explosion!
who would suppose you could shred with this pedal, haha, I made a demo with some more noisy tones of it, you might want to check it out but it's a very different style, haha.
Good Demo. Better than many others. Still can be improved. Instead of noodling just make chords. Take a breath. Very exhausted by so many notes. Also use a Humbucker Guitar next time.

Great demo & i really like your unpretentious sense of humour
Best demo I’ve seen of the Carcosa
Thank you!
Killer tones man.

Glad I could help. I don't think you can go very wrong with a Carcosa as your first fuzz, so have fun experimenting! 🙏🏻
One of the best fuzzes out there. Period.
I've sell some other ( more expensive ) fuzzes and remain with that because the Carcosa does everything!!! ❤
That's it ! Gonna buy this little beast ... It's so versatile and tweakable !!! Nice demo bro 👏
Thank you, hope you enjoy the Carcosa! 🙏🏻
Brilliant demo!
Thank you Matt!
Have you checked out the fuzzbender? Seems to be the same circuit but with a germanium transistor on the end and a bass knob instead of a switch.
Sounds grand to my ears man.🎉

It's still my go to fuzz, precisely because of the versatility you describe... and you can't beat the price 🤷🏻♂️ 😉
Great demo, thanks! Why is your strat the wrong guitar? Single coils should work better with fuzz, no?

Does this one need to go first? Or can I put it after another drive???
I routinely use it after buffers without any problem, so I'm guessing it'll be fine.
@@PedalPlatform thank you very much. I'm thinking of getting this and sticking it after my drive and ts style and keeping my fuzz face first
Just found your channel, super underrated. Awesome playing and awesome tones!
Thank you! 🙏🏻
Does this pedal “need” to be first in the chain ?
Don't you find it particularly ice picky by itself but perfectly fine in a band? it's wierd..
