The Aircraft Seats Of Tomorrow - Private Cabins, Bunk Beds And Standing Seats!

- What will an aircraft cabin look like in the future? A utopian experience with onboard spas and golf, or perhaps a utilitarian nightmare with triple stacked bunk beds and standing saddle seats. Let's count down the best new cabin ideas and what it will be like to fly on tomorrow's aircraft.
-------------------------
Aircraft cabins have come a long way. Back in the golden age of aviation, there was not even classes and many people sat with the equivalent of a business class seat today. Over time new classes developed and luxury was given to more premium passengers while the economy cabin was more dense and packed. However, it doesn't always have to be that way, and aircraft designers are looking at ways to bring back some of the golden age splendor to plane cabins today.
Starting off our list today is an aircraft cabin design from Airbus themselves for the close year of 2030. Integrating augmented reality throughout the cabin sees Airbus creating an environment that is designed specifically for flexible seating and sleeping configuration. It will have things like an inflight lounge with transformable modules with the cabin layout changing depending on who has booked what seats. Airbus has also featured a "interactive zone". The virtual pop up projections in this area can transform you to whichever social scene you want to be in, from holographic gaming to virtual changing rooms for active shoppers. You might even be able to work out, although without showers on board it might be very smelly indeed.
Many future cabin concepts are removing windows as they are weak when it comes to aircraft design. Not only do they add more drag to the plane increasing fuel burn, but as soon as an airline perfects virtual windows that are infinity bigger than real ones, or they allow passengers to change the view on a dime.
But what about low-cost carriers like Ryanair and easyJet who want as many passengers as possible. Introducing the monstrosity Delft University of Technology's collapsing bed concept. In-seat mode, the beds collapse into a bench that can sit three passengers, then after take-off, they can deploy into a triple stacked bunk. They also came up with an alternative bed along with the wall design, that can replace those boring window seats with triple decked lie-flat beds in economy.
For that, we have the Chaise Longue design with passengers suspended on swinging chairs above one another. This design doubles the number of passengers onboard with double seats per row above one another. The seat will able to rock back and forth depending on if you want to sit or lie down.
We can't leave these crazy designs without mentioning the standing seat design from Aviointeriors Skyrider. These saddle based standing seats only have 23 inches (58 cm) between rows and would allow operators for short-haul flights to turn planes into flying buses.
Then there is the question of the cargo cabin. On ultra long haul flights like London to Sydney, do aircraft need to use an entire cargo deck for cargo? Why not use the third deck for private cabins, spas, business meeting rooms or perhaps even an onboard gym. The Earth Bay’s cargo hold conversion sees it transformed with large windows and relaxed common spaces.
So far Airbus has pitched the concept for its Airbus A350 aircraft to Qantas, but we have yet to see if the Australian airline will bring it to the market. Other concepts that didn't make the list include the collins aerospace cabin crew jump seat, allowing flight attendants to rest in a zero-g experience.
Then there is the Heinkel Group’s reversible commuter seats that allow groups to chat together - which is very similar to the Q-suite design from Qatar.
British Firm PriestmanGoode has imagined future scenarios and taken into account new passenger behaviors driven by the global crisis. Coming up with a design called the PureSkies that can be implemented within a few years and will meet user and airline requirements for many years ahead. These concepts feature a completely redesigned economy cabin with staggered seats that are separated from one another - so that passengers can travel alone, as a couple or as a group. They have placed a divider between each row to give that sense of privacy and protection.
As inflight entertainment is a major touchpoint, it has been removed in favor for a passenger's own device. But the real experience is in the pure skies business class cabin. Featuring something that looks like a massage day spa, each seat is seperated by a curtain and kept away from the hustle and bustle of the cabin. The seats have a minimal split line with no cracks and is created from antimicrobial materials. Passengers will have control over lights, temperature and have a personalized wardrobe for storage.
Cozy indeed. In fact, this plane design is so hygienic that before boarding, the aircraft fills with fogging disinfectant and has ultraviolet lights, sterilizing a good chunk of the environment.
Instead of an exercise room, I’d rather see decent sized toilet cubicles!
You already have decent sized toilet cubicles on airlines like Qatar Airways. Even in economy class
Lol i would too
You just want more room when you're trying to join the mile high club.
@@58jharris It’d help!
OMEGALUL True
You can’t get rid of windows the best part of the flight is watching the sunrise or watching yourself fly over the countries
And flying above the clouds! The view is the best part!
agree.. i get their concept but there have to be windows...lots of flyers wanna see the takeoff, landing, sunset, sunrise, and other views with their own eyes. Some people like to even take pictures and videos. I know some airlines already have fake windows (which are just live broadcast of outside).
what if it was a ceiling screen...the starry night during sleeping hours? sunrise during breakfast, and sunset during dinner?
He said there's virtual outside view. Which means you can still see the outside.
Yess that’s what I was thinking. We flew over Greenland on our way back from Poland and it was the most breathtaking views of the glaciers. I wouldn’t change that experience it was out of this world.
The best part is seeing the city below while taking off during morning or night and while landing in the morning looking at blue sky with clouds below looking like snow on grasslands
One of the best views I’ve experienced
There's something about the windowless cabin idea that doesn't sit well with my motion sickness.
I know I’m a month late, but when I’m sitting in a moving car while looking at a screen causes motion sickness which makes me feel like shit and wanting to throw up everywhere. Screens instead of windows in airplanes sounds like a recipe for disaster in my case.
@@imanavgeekdontjudge5714 to be fair the plane doesn't really move that much in flight. I get carsick but I never was planesick in my life.
Ug same
4:20 Those swinging chairs would be a nightmare in a nightmare during an accident. And a nightmare for rescue crews and body recovery crews.
Top chair almost decapitates the person in the lower chair when they tilt back. Even if it didn't that would suck having a chair that close to your head. F- to who ever thought and took the time to design that.
@@marilynmanson1834 well it’s cool
people who designed these seats, bunks, clearly have no idea on structural design of aircraft or what happens when an aircraft hits the tarmac or the ground. But companies love to do all this flashy designs with software without any real plans to build those designs, they just get paid to submit such ideas
Billionares Don't Care about safety. They want to make as much Money as possible. As Long as they Don't have to fly with These Shitty Seats they have Free Reign over the design
@@marilynmanson1834 I think the 3D model made the scale look bad honestly I think it could make a ton of sense IF and only IF you where allowed a very large carry on or one. Even then we all know there will be problems with boarding and unboarding.
whoever design a standing saddle seat's must go to hell.
They have designed it three times over, its up to version 3.0 and they have gone away to make 4.0
@@FoundAndExplained oh that is surely intresting
that person needs to be high fived, with a folding chair, to the face.
@@IgorTheUkrainian that is a rare insult
@@yusufpassarela7105 sorry, I think the person who designed those seats is evil and needs to be punished. :)
Great, posh comfort for the rich and standing seats for the poor. Seems legit.
Uhh yeah. Pay more money, get more service/space/amenities. That's hardly a radical concept lol.
@@andrewdubose9968 To be fair, losing amenities you once had is kind of a dick move.
You pay for your premium luxury memory foam seats coming with built in gaming screens I guess
Great, no windows so when the power goes out during a crash you’re stuck in a pitch black metal tube.
Well, we put hoods on birds to prevent them from panicking...
Yup, not wrong... dang...
MrMakeDo, airlines don’t rely on windows to light the cabin especially in emergencies. They have emergency lights powered by backup power, so they always are available. They also have emergency lighting on the floor indicating the way out. Planes fly at night, too, so relying on windows for emergency light then, wouldn’t work at all.
@@TheDrjehr Have you never been told to open the window blinds for take off and landing? That's for exactly that reason. To see what's happening outside in case of an emergency
@@Horstroad Yup, so passenger don't survive the crash only to die because they escaped into fire.
The flight better be $1 for me to fly on the standing saddle seat!
For me, 50 cents.
and better be getting there in 30 mins or less
I feel like in the future ryan air should add a buisness class which has the same amount of space as a normal airlines economy class.
I'm sure that is very much the plan!
@@FoundAndExplained Gosh, , those low effort comments are so lame.
Ryanair had them from the very beginning, it's called extra-leg room / emergency exit seat. Twice as much legroom (more than KLM/LH premium economy in fact!), at double the price.
the real issue is that with over 90% of its flights taking less than two hours, customers don't really care about comfort. It's only relevant for tiny fraction of people 2m or bigger.
Their routes are so short and aircraft so small, does class division really matter on a budget airline?
That looks miserable, travel is already a horrible at the best of times and most of these concepts would make it a nightmare
I really like the clearskies one in economy and business. The narrowbody curtains for business really appeal to me.
@@FoundAndExplained That was the only concept with any merit that I could see being integrated into planes to great reception, the concepts meant to add features would likely not be utilized and those meant to add seats look like torture devices
I like the first Airbus one. If it can be done properly, that could be really cool. Feels like the most futuristic one which still has the most intelligent thinking of utilising modern tech and upcoming future tech to make flying more comfortable.
@@L33tSkE3t “those meant to add seats” may look like torture devices to you, but to many poor people they will be a godsend. Adding more passengers would drastically reduce the cost of tickets for those passengers, making air travel accessible for poorer people. Billions of people around the world don’t have the luxury of affording a plane ticket at all, and would gladly stand for an hour or two if that means they can get a ticket. I’ve experienced these types of journeys on trains in countries like Taiwan and India. Sometimes there simply aren’t enough trains going to the destination you want to get to, and too many people want to go there. People will gladly stand for an hour or two, crammed like sardines, if that means they’ll get to go home. It’s better than not getting a ticket at all. These designs are helping some of the poorest people in need.
I think the bunk bed sounds awesome. It’s space efficient and more comfortable
My favorite seat design was the 2 level sleeper design in the thumbnail before the video started. You then proceded to leave it out of the video so we'll never know the name of it. Great.
Those have an interesting history. In the 1920’s Alfred Lawson built some of the first airliners in the US. He came up with and I think patented that dual level concept and sold it to rail lines. Would be an interesting irony to see it finally applied in air travel. Although I doubt it could happen.
You could never have a plane without windows. You need to open your window blinds when you take off and land as a safety measure, because if there is an emergency or a crash your eyes need to be acclimated to the light outside so you can leave the airplane as fast as possible and go to safety.
I totally agree with you on that regard. In addition to safety I would like to have real views of the outside world
digital screens that mimic the lighting and view outside should do the trick
4:00 ... Looks pretty familiar, good old India of Indian railway
those standing seats are extremely inhuman
So is economy class...
@Damon Ford Fly 16 hours on a regular basis as I have and then say that.
i think it's super economic class
Why not just sit on the floor back to back with other guys. You will be packed so dense you won’t need seat belt
@@johnwang9914 Economy class isnt that bad, its enough when you get used to it
I just hope air travel will go back to normal. 🙏🏻
It probably will be different going forward..
Hearing about windows being potentially removed in the future was so incredibly anxiety inducing I can't even begin to describe it. Virtual screens would undoubtedly be larger than traditional windows, and this idea seems to have been made without the comfort of the one of the most common fears in the world: the fear of flying. I myself have this fear and while my anxiety was not so crippingly that it stops me from last I checked, the only real thing that helps it while on board without taking any meds is the ability to close the window on my own yet still know that the window is there so I don't feel like I'm trapped. A windowless tube with a digital screen would ABSOLUTELY make me feel like the walls are closing in the more anxious I got, and without that physical feeling of being able to close something/occasionally check outside/REALLY see outside not through a camera to make sure I am grounded/not losing my mind I think I would honestly not be able to fly again...Then there's the skylight that you would literally have no control over...The whole concept alone is terrifying me way more than when I know I have to get on a plane. Typing this out and thinking about how I would feel is honestly freaking me out and I am not at all an anxious person outside of flying/heights (which is really where my fear of flying comes from). These are horrible ideas and I hope they never get implemented.
I’m freaking out cuz I haven’t gotten to this part of the video yet!
And I fly tomorrow lol
*everyone is a standing seat gangsta till they need to duck for a crash landing.*
safety rules thrown out of the non existent wundoes.

Ryanair be like "future of our planes are seatless, everyone stand up like commuter bus"
Just pack them in like sardines, friction will do the rest.
Satan is a big fan of the standing saddle seat's designer.
Thank you!
satan is also a big fan of this video. because it's lying. while you watch this video, in reality the employees of airlines are psychos who pick on customers (check out how many violence cases were reported in the past years. it's atrocious, especially in american airlines. the pattern is the same : some flight attendant doesn't like someone, then picks on him/her, and after continuously poking at the person, they call the police who then brutally and violently takes the passenger out)
then they treat the other passengers like crap(while smiling of course, the whole thing is made in a passive aggressive way)
but pls, don't take my word about it, look it up for yourself. the pattern is the same, and this is what scares and disgusts me
You might feel differently if you’re poor and live in a developing nation and can’t afford to fly and the standing seat allows you to fly cheaply on a one hour flight or otherwise you’d have to take a bus and or boat. 🤷♂️ I certainly would not want to use one..
It isn't even a seat anymore
As MJ said, the standing saddle seats would drastically reduce the cost of tickets for those passengers, making air travel accessible for poorer people. Billions of people around the world don’t have the luxury of affording a plane ticket at all, and would gladly stand for an hour or two if that means they can get a ticket. I’ve experienced these types of journeys on trains in some Asian countries like Taiwan and India. Sometimes there simply aren’t enough trains going to the destination you want to get to. People will gladly stand for an hour or two if that means they’ll get to go home. It’s better than not getting a ticket at all. So the opposite is true: Satan is not a fan of those seats’ designer. The designer is helping people in need.
I would love to die in a pitch black tube only hearing screams as I suffocate because I couldn't find my air bag in the dark
Aircraft interior designers are forever trotting out radical, creative new ideas to improve passenger comfort -- 99 percent of which will never see the inside of a commercial airliner. Either they don't cram enough passengers into the fuselage to satisfy the airlines, or aviation regulars consider them to be unsafe.
Yeah. Some ideas have some merit; like the bunk bed 'sleeping' seats/sections; but a lot of these feel super out of touch. And people bash the Hyperloop concepts; something that actually is scientifically and economically feasible; for being out of touch...
With the amount of Air Disaster episodes ive seen, lots of these scare me in terms of survivability
Same bro..they look cool but no thank you xD
I feel like the cameraman got drunk in the last shot of this video! haha!
I love having a window to look out of, it's one of my favorite things about flying.
if there's one thing that CoronaVirus has helped to fend off...is those Saddle Seats! Now all passengers will have the personal space we have been wanting since the days of before Deregulation with the new "Social Distancing" Rules.
I don't know if it's just my anatomy but coach seats in an airplane almost instantly cut off the circulation to my legs and my butt goes numb...... I have to keep shifting from side to side
Try bringing something like an inflatable pillow to put your feet on raising your legs up.
Are you short by any chance? The same thing happens to me in normal seats because I'm short
Everyone complaining about Ryanair or the high density seating, you get what you pay for. No one's forcing you to fly like this, feel free to pay more. If it makes flying more accessible to more people, what's the issue?
Yup. right now I'm looking at booking Ryanair for 20€, or KLM for 240€ for basically the same route. At this much price premium, I can stomach few centimeters of legspace and a lottery announcement.
@@borek772 my taxi fare to airport is more than 30£😂
Yes and no. Yes, you can opt to take a more comfortable flight and pay the higher price. No, the budget carriers fly to more destinations than your standard airline does. It becomes difficult to find alternatives to budget airlines to many destinations in Europe from the UK.
@@sk1nzsk1nz34 tru dat. I live in Edinburgh and guess what only Ryanair and easyJet fly to Italy😭
@@sk1nzsk1nz34 I sort of said that, but not exactly. They make flights accessible to more people. Whether that's competing on price with traditional airlines or creating new routes which aren't viable for other carriers.
The only argument you can make against ultra low cost carriers is that they encourage people to make more unnecessary flights, which is shite for the environment.
Don't like that nothing is included in your 10 euro ticket, but no other carriers are available? Pay the extra fees to get a better seat, checked in bag, priority boarding, food, etc.
All that said, Willie Walsh is still a prick.
5:10 Cargo doesn't care, but the passenger is the one who care about their cargo. Nick Robinson is almost die out when his rarest cargo is being delay.
An aircraft without window? I rather swim or walk
goodluck, you not going make it.
The future of travel should be as follows. From the comfort of your home, you order a flying machine, within 15 minutes it arrives at your home or location. You take a seat inside, provide your personal information, and it takes you to your destination. No more airport check ins , no more visa customs . Your journey will be from point to point. In order for this new way of travel will only happen when new engines are designed, no more jet engines that take too long and are environmentally harmful.
I'm 6'2" and going on 56. All I see is new ways to make travelling more than ever an absolute nightmare by way of cost or comfort. If not both.
Most of these concepts won’t see the light of day because most airlines won’t sign up for it. But that last concept looks pretty amazing.
I love the window. Watching the sun rise or set from the plane window is one experience I enjoy the most about flying.
🥰If I could fly a 24 hour flight I would air travel never gets boring for me 🥰
Some of these are amazing I would literally fly every month
Wow that swinging chair is a good way to develop claustrophobia
I'd actually love those suspended seats. Curl up and recline without bumping into anyone? Yes please!
As much fun as it is to have cool ammeneties like these in an aircraft like a cruise, dangerous turbulence or disaster could strike at any moment so its best to stay safe in your seat and golf once on the ground lol.
New subscriber. Thanks for introducing new concepts in the aviation world. Looking forward to your upcoming programs. Take care and have a pleasant week. ❤🙏🌎
I don´t get why everybody is complaining about those "standing" seats. They are meant only for short-term flights like 1-3 hours. Have you ever been on a bus or a tram in rush hour? If you are going from one terminal station to another, you can stand there for 2 hours as well. You only have the possibility pretty much to stand. So these "standing" seats give you at least a bit of comfort so that you can rest at least a bit. ;)
It's a interesting concept but we all know that noone would ever get on a plane which looks like a train cabin but it would probably stay the same as well noone likes getting stuck in a cabin like interior.
Very true! Some of these designers primarily make train cabins hence why the mass commuter focus.
@@FoundAndExplained they'll obviously have to adjust the plans.. I do like the idea of having the automated systems for ordering etc.. less touchpoints but I don't like the idea of taking away inseat entertainment systems... perhaps they could keep it with an antimicrobial coating for the screen..
Which train cabins? Are you referring to first class TGV/Eurostar or an American subway?
I flew on business for 40 years. After retirement I've been on two flights and won't take another.
I liked the windowless windows. They look so cool.
AirBus needs to work at Epcot. I won't hold my breath waiting for these ideas.
Standing seats? I don't think so.
A day spa? Yeah, sure!
Private cabins, awesome! Bunk beds, awesome! Standing sea--wait what NO NO NO GO BACK
that cargo bay into a lounge with windows etc idea sounds really cool- it would be amazing on long flights like from Chicago to London
The last idea about the dividers in economy and curtains in first/business class is definitely the most realistic.
The idea for standing seats sounds like the most RIDICULOUS thing I ever heard in my life.
Hi i love youre vids
The odd comment: in most flights, when we count the door to door travel time, flying is actually the shortest period. Going to and from the airport, and the time spent at the airports, usually takes longer. Security checks are the most annoying part of air travel. I would gladly fly 2 hours on less than ideal conditions, if time and hassle on the ground would be reduced.
By the time we actually board the plane, we are already tired and stressed out. And there's nothing a good cabin can do about that. In conclusion: cheers for cabin improvements, but please focus on the ground experience too!
Already some airports are improving it a lot, with 3D baggage scanners (which does not require unpacking your luggage and are 2-3 times faster per lane) or more sane security policies.
In Japan, they allow liquids up to 1,5 liter on Domestic flights.
TSA is USA only problem.
Another thing that applies in the US is the big airlines actually using secondary airports. I don't appreciate having to drive over an hour to the big hub just because they think it's cheap or whatever. I'd much prefer going to the airport that's 30 minutes away. This is the main reason I fly on Southwest and now Frontier, I dont have to deal with SFO.
Ryan Air is deffo behind the scenes being approached by these standing saddle seat designer firms. Honestly I hope those very same designers go to hell, designing a "seat" like that. We're flying in an aircraft... not a roller coaster.
Pure Skies concept is really beautiful, considered and feasible for both High speed rail and Aircraft applications. Well done!
The airbus concept is great... a bit flashy and trying to do too much but some of the concepts like the Point of order service from galley to seat can greatly benefit airlines cost wise as less crew are required (like on Norwegian) they're just there to facilitate light transactional service and dont really attend to anyone. I'd say give it 20years before we're all flying crewless or 1-2 cabin crew and single pilot only + AI flights. 3 staff planes lol.
Ok but I love the tripple bunkbed seats.
my fear of heights looking at the window concepts: * intense sweating*
Those standing seats look a lot like ride vehicles for stand up roller coasters like Shock Wave at King's Dominion. Several were built, but most have had their ride vehicles replaced because guests hated the design! People complained that it was really uncomfortable, especially for... 50% of the population...
When I fly I'm not a chatty Cathy so I prefer the seats where your by yourself in your little pod.
The problem with no windows is you rely on that external camera which becomes a single point of failure. Pilots need to see the outside engines, wings etc and can’t rely only cameras.
Me: That looks cool
Also me: Wait does this mean prices will just go up for tickets. Nooooooooooooo
This guy is so cool
I like the bunk bed concept. I would pay extra to travel on it
5:24 this is my favorite seating
I would 100% fly in a "standing seat"
We make the accross WA state flight a lot because I live in a small city and I feel that would actually be an improvement from the packed seats, especially for me being plus-sized
If airlines actually started implementing standing seats I am NEVER flying on an airplane ever again.
Well, I wasent lying when I said I was watching 2 of your videos.
Interested to see how things pan out after Covid!
I personally don't think electronic windows will be a good idea. I very much prefer a windowed fuselage, rather than a fuselage without windows and having electronic windows inside instead. In case there's a power outage, these electronic windows can turn off, making the fuselage interior look like a pitch black hollow interior of a metal tube. You really don't want to be in that situation as it can be terrifying.
On the plane
The aircraft is like a room.
Might just put everybody down with strong anesthesia, then stack up.
If it keeps me asleep, hell sign me up.
I think pure skies seat plan is the best
Most of them sound great but I think I’d die in that economy seat
I’m 6’ 4”. I wonder if I would have enough legroom and headroom in these planes and if the headrests would be adjustable.
Do these future airplane for onlr business class only or is encomy class and first class too?
Cool video, thanks. 😎
Have you looked at the new America's cup sail boats ..the AC75. They are pretty much aircraft now and might be interesting to your viewers?!?
Just put bench seats on planes and squeeze every one on the bench seats like on schoolbus.
I can't imagine you'd burn less fuel trying to power those 'virtual windows', than to stick with traditional windows.
04:34 American Airlines and United Airlines: "write that down, write that down!"
Having back issues, the saddle seat actually looks like it would be more comfortable on a long flight as long as the seat height would adjust.
I know those standing seats get alot of hate, but maybe in public transport they could have a role. Better than riding in the aisle trying not to fall
There's already padded butt and back rails on some LRT trains.
What about the plane interior we're actually likely to get? The one that assumes you don't have legs, or the one that has you partially standing the entire flight.
A lot of the ideas I like that just need a little bit of tweaking however that standing seat needs to go.
could the monstruositys as you call them , be more comfortable than a narrow row chair ?
I’m retired, with the ability to travel whenever I want, within reason. I travel to enjoy myself, not to experience a cattle car. My wife and I have not taken many trips recently. The biggest reason for me is the discomfort of sitting in coach. Airlines pay attention to the business traveler, and pack the leisure passengers in as an afterthought. If we are any example they are losing quite a bit of money.
With COVID19 emptying planes maybe they will try to improve the experience for coach to lure us back. We shall see.
The nonsense of playing virtual golf will not happen until airlines eliminate turbulence. It’s bad enough to have passengers stretching their legs, and going to the bathroom while they are trying to sell drinks. Clear air turbulence is real and not conducive to walking around.
Uhm, P ticket costs 4-5 times as much as an economy one. Airlines are not there to make you happy, they are there to make money.
pay for business class. No one is forcing you to travel in economy class. Economy class seats have profit margins of 4-5% and business class seats have profit margin of 20-25%. The airlines would love to fill the planes with business class seats if people were willing to pay that much.
Some of us need a window for motion sickness. I love looking out at the land below on take off and landing. Just make it so the seats are comfortable and wide enough so we are not in each other's space. The airlines need to go back to comfort and service not jamming in as many people in as possible.
They never stopped focusing on comfort and service. You just decided to fly on cheap services that never existed before. If you want to get the quality of the 1960s, you have to pay 1960s prices too. That means paying for a first class ticket.
@@user-do5zk6jh1k Except we're on the 21st century, a whole lot more technology to cut costs, fuel efficiency, more rides and destinations... I don't think it's unreasonable to expect lower prices. As you don't expect a TV nowadays to be the same price range as as a TV in the 60s, even if they're much better now.
@@MarianadeOliveiraSaitu I also wouldn't have expected TVs to be on seatbacks in the 60s, yet we have those in international economy flights now.
Airplanes have so much unused space its crazy. Why not bunk beds?
Maybe because if there is an accident, those beds in the top will hit you.
I’m not sure the standing seats would work for my family unless the height is adjustable since my family is very tall. I hope they do something like the suspended seats to allow extra legroom. Not everyone can afford a first class seat even though they don’t fit the economy ones.
Windows are the best part of a flight
Okay but like without windows if there is an emergency and exits are blocked how would passengers escape. At least with windows it’s less likely that they all will be blocked considering the amount and that they are on both sides
I've wondered before about bunks instead of seats or both depending on customers preference.
Absolutely ASININE
Plane architects: *remove windows*
Me: *TRIGGERED*
I like the bunk bed. So I can lay flat without book business.
Problem is all three passengers must decide together as to when to convert the seats to bunks and those cushion on the lower bunk would be quite smelly. At least the seats of a nearly empty TWA flight proved too rank to lie down upon once.
Well I think windows works better than screens. It feels more authentic.
86ing windows is a bad idea because without natural light, it'll create issues with an emergency evacuation. As it stands, the golden rule is during takeoff & landing, the window shades are raised and cabin lights are dimmed so passenger eyes are accustomed to natural light as most accidents happen during 🛫🛬. Emergency path lights only provide some assurance when things go awry.
These efforts should be kept how to overcome emergency situations..
Rather than luxury n relaxing
Suddenly the hight of the cabin is doubled and you can fit a triple bunk bed inside 🤔 what plane is that exactly, what maker and what model. Normally I can’t stand in front of my seat so it would be a great improvement.
Lol 😂
Aah Wall-E movie
I’d rather walk, drive or take a ship than take a flight with those economy standup seats.
If the airlines try hard they will be able to squeeze the last vestiges of joy from travel, they are almost there, one last push. Go airlines!
Everyone complaining about the standing seats until they can snatch tickets for super cheap. 🤚🏻😂
