I have been a DBA for 20 years. That is senior level pay. I can interview you and tell if you are a paper DBA or if you actually worked as a DBA. If you are willing to move to some small town or location that no one will go that is the best way to get your experience.

@@KingdomCre8tive why is he lying? He learned all those skills in the class. As for resumes, I've never known anyone to accentuate a few things based on the job descriptions

@@KingdomCre8tive no need, as I stated all resumes are geared to specific job titles. Once you've learned a skill, which you do throughout the assignments. You can adjust your resume to reflect that.

DMV FHV why are you acting as if $132k is a lot of money. Remember a sense of evidence is NOT evidence of a sense. Soooo a testimonial is not enough for you? Listen... when it comes to IT you need PRACTICAL experience not necessarily working experience. You either can do the job or you cannot. When you sit for interviews they will ask you the same questions even if you out 20 years of experience. No difference. So stop being negative.
$132 is a lot of money and senior DBA kind of money. I have been through this process and I know for a fact that people lie about their offers. Unless this kid is at an expert level in PL/SQL, shell scripting, RAC, performance tuning etc no one but a fool will pay him that much.
Plus, companies won't hire you under 10 unless they work around it which they arent willing to
He doesn't have to be lying. Some people been coding and learning as a child, he could have just been fortunate enough to find an interest in technology at an early age. You don't need school to start learning and gaining experience in IT.

Certifications and Training are great, falsifying employment history and taking a position requiring far more experience than he has however, is a great way to ruin any and all goodwill from an employer. Better hope the hiring manager is ignorant to the position!

not true finding any job is jsrd nowadays. whether junior or senior it's very saturated. very good devs coming from all over the world. every remote sql dev job has over 3,000 applicants on average look it up. it's ridiculous
to get a job as dba do I need to have bsc in cse or it will be ok with a bba ,Mba ?
