The people who made my computer for some reason decided to make the D drive the drive with all the memory so I had no other choice than to install all my games there. I have never heard of a program requiring a specific drive letter in my entire life.
Memory? Do you mean storage? You specify what's called a "drive path" to any letter that you choose. By default, certain drives are designated certain letters. Typically that would be (C:) for your main drive. Which, in your case was (D:). My guess is that you have two hard drives? One for your operating system and one for storage?. Another reason could be because they chose the D: designator during setup on accident. Either way, it doesn't make a difference. There's nothing special or wrong with your computer.
if your sourcemods folder dont work you can make a shortcut to your D drive sourcemods folder and steam will use the D drive instead, do some googling im sure you can find it.

Hello! So I went to the latest link you put and I cannot find the 1.24 to 1.25.7 update file, only the 1.2 to 1.24. I am wondering why I have quite a few missing textures and I think that may be why. The link in the description does take me to a different website to get that file but won't let me as I just go in loops for the extensions it asks me to put on for my browser. Any help with this is much appreciated!! Thank you!

Doesnt work. I did everything needed (expect the 4k textures thing) and it doesnt work. None of the games show up when searching up for "half-life" 0/10 tutorial i dont recommend
You can disregard that. Mine works fine and it's on my E drive with all the other games. There is only one thing that didn't really work. The CM2013 character pimper is obviously moving all files to the wrong location. Maybe moving the files manually will work. Who knows. I'll certainly try.

Some still have missing textures. I've extracted all sorts vpk-files to find em, but wasn't successful and gave up on that. Everything else seems to work fine. In the end I've settled for Kendra v4 wearing jeans. To bad there isn't an alt version with jeans, the less fancy and clean leather jacket and a black mesa top.

@@Mabra51 Yes Install Cinematic Mod + MMod. The Normal Weapon Model’s from somewhere and put it in the Custom folder in MMod. You will have Cinematic Mod Maps MMod Effects etc. HL2 Weapons & NPCs

I just cant get it to work... I think its because my i changed my game library to another drive. every time I launch mmod cinematic it just launches hl2. it has some of the hd textures and stuff but there are red errors everywhere and the lighting is not working.
Redo all of the installations for both mods and make sure that the mod file directories are in the same ones as Steam itself. If you have steam in your C drive then have the mod files go to the C drive, and if you have Steam in another drive like F then direct the mods to that drive. You made a mistake along the way and or the installation got flubbed somehow. Good luck!
Not working for me. A bit weird because the main screen of HL2 shows both CM and MMod. But I guess problem is on my end. I've Steam not installed on my C:/

Enable the games and software view in Steam, you probably just have Steam set to show games because that's the default.
Installing cinematic mod looks like hack into the pentagon, not that i know what that looks like.

same here, the patch also had no exe file, it was just a folder to copy files to the desired steam folder...

For the characters, you have to copy the model files into MMod's custom folder.

You can install one game without installing the others. You can put one or two or more Mmod files in the Half life 2 folder
