That's true actually... When i'm traveling I rarely have anxiety, unless i'm in a really stressful situation but i'm usually good! You know what that means don't you? We need to travel more!! 😆😍
Hi Great vlog, love the phone recording through the security scanner shot...lol. You are so natural on camera and we can't wait to see what happens and where you go next. Hope you have a great time in Bilbao. All the best Mike and Yvonne.
Hey guys! Thanks for watching! Hahaha really didn't know how that shot would turn out but thought i'd try it anyway 😆 Really appreciate that as I don't feel it most of the time.. My first day in Bilbao vlog is exporting as we speak so will be up on Friday 😊 Speak soon x
Looking forward to the places you have visited in Bilbao, which we will see in the next vlog. And wondering who those friends are who gave you some advise ;-) xxx
Back in the 70s when I got tired of my studies I would walk down the street and get on the air Porter and go to LAX and fly up to San Francisco and go to my father's 200 a month apartment, enjoy the view on the balcony, go down to the liquor store below, hike past the Chinese laundry on the street above past all the European flags out front the fixer uppers on the funky street, then go stand at the corner of Haight Ashbury and have avocado sandwiches
Great to see you again Millie 🇪🇸. Good for you doing the solo trip 👏🏼 Done my first solo trip back in 2012 (Scotland to Alicante) and stayed for a week. Was an amazing feeling managing to cope and felt it was quite an achievement. Weird not having someone to talk to - especially going out for a meal etc. Amazing how you meet people though, and you soon get used to it. I wish you all the best 👍🏼
Thanks so much! Aww that's so cool, how did you feel spending a week alone? Wish you would have done more or less time? I have just booked my next solo trip, for 5 days this time.. adding a few days each time 😆 I didn't actually realise how much I talked to myself until I was walking the streets alone haha...bet I looked like a right weirdo.. Yeah definitely, I think you're more approachable when you're on your own so I made a few friends 😊 Thanks for watching!
@@MillieMoments To be honest, after 5 days back in 2012 I was a bit fed up with no-one there. However, I have been to that area 2 or 3 times a year since then, and have a great group of friends there. We go mountain walks, running, go to the gym, meet up for meals etc. and I feel like they are now part of my family. The local restaurants - Spanish, Italian, Chinese and British are all really friendly - and I don't feel out of place on my own. Maybe just a confidence thing? I would quite happily spend weeks or months there now - just need a lottery win 😀 Take care, and I look forward to your next adventures 👍
Awww that is so cool! I think it’ll always feel weird the first time you go somewhere alone and it’ll just get easier bit by bit! Glad you feel full comfortable doing it now ☺️
I have a Spanish friend who said his family lived in the Spanish country side, they worked in the orange groves and would travel by truck to the port and load the oranges in ship a deliver them to England. They would get off and walk around, he says people have a lot of dogs, you could tell each person's accent by the type of fence they had. Back at their whitewashed home they are meat every other day with a propane stove
It is also somehow really comforting that even at night people at the hostel didn't seem to drink a lot of boozenand get wasted. Where I come from people really drink a lot but here in Spain seemingly not that much. But I always feel a little judged by waiters in touristic places that I don't go for wine or beer or something like everyone else. I wish lemonade was more common here but always get a blank stare if I ask that 😂. Sorry it's sort of a weird comment. But anyway I somehow felt comfortable enough to say it, here. Can't really explain it. 😊
Me too!!! I have major anxiety! Funnily when I travel it disappears. It really is good for the soul. Loved the video.❤❤❤

Not a weird comment at all! I rarely drink when I go out, so i've had to get used to the blank stares hahaha... Thanks for watching 😊
Well done Millie 👍

@@MillieMoments that's alright
I don’t remember you having a familiar accent before ! FairPlay on your solo trip.
Hahaha I do try and hide my accent but guess it still shows 😆 Thanks for watching!
Thank God for the Michelin guide in the day
I ride my bicycle a lot but then can not take the hot chicks a problem for a poet, thank you before I tack analyze my engine
