Also, compare her vocals to some of her earlier "anime OP style" songs like Dawn Blue / Ibasho / UnAlive and it's amazing how much she's improved at hitting those high notes. Usually I see a mobile game promotional song and roll my eyes, but this goes so hard and is so hype. Calli really gives every song her all.

Other English Cover artists may have lyrics that match the Japanese end rhymes, but are weaker at internal rhyme, alliteration, and syllable count, leading to either too many syllables stuffed into a line or words that just sound awkward against one another. Calli knows exactly where to localize the song and how to make the syllables sound smooth and how to vary her pronunciation in interesting ways. E.g. 'marked by vicious scars starved by all this cycling caustic rebound' - mar/scar/star/all/cau/bou are syllables that sound close to one another through rhyme or half-rhyme. Imagine if you changed some of the words to synonyms with the same syllable count like to 'marked by painful scars...' or 'cycling scornful rebound', you can see how there is less unity of sounds ('vicious' has a strong 's' sound which plays off 'scars' and 'starved' for example) and the lyric will sound weaker.
