What a legendary track, I always come back to this after all these years. It's like memories of warm summer night, when you're smoking cigarette, staring into city lights after leaving party you didn't wanna be anymore... Something we can hear in hardwave nowadays I guess. I mean, I've heard a lot of genres, from swing, blues, folk, classical, to hard trance and black metal, played cello, guitar and few other istruments myself BUT there aren't many things that come even close with this kind of qlimax and atmosphere to this.
For me, it's about spring, the early spring, when the dripping begins all around, and you sit at home, wrapped in a warm blanket, because you're slightly ill. In the kitchen, mom is making hot broth, but you know that the illness will soon pass and you'll feel better tomorrow. Stepping outside, you feel that typical smell of spring, you realize - there it is, it's here, it's close. At the same time, your first relationships are budding, you're falling more and more in love with someone, and it doesn't matter how old you are - 14, 15, 20, or 25, you feel everything more acutely than ever before. Your studies, whether it's school or university, will end in three months, and then it'll be summer with its evening gnats, the sharp smell of the river, crimson and purple sunsets, early dawns, and bike rides with a can of cold Coke in the back pocket of your shorts. That's what this track means to me.
