I made an adapter that bolts to the 1/2" plate on the stand and then to the side of a cummins 6bt.... its a pretty stout stand.... i dont try to rotate it at all though. I would recommend this stand for sure!
why don't you use those four screw in legs/jacks that are at the end of each leg and at the rear of the Daytona? you might be able to lift the engine stand up and slide the cherry picker underneath it. I could be wrong though. I also wonder if you'd be able to back the engine stand into the engine hoist and do it that way, you know both v's facing the same direction, lifting the engine over the top of the stand.
Yes, I tried the outriggers to lift it up but it did not go up high enough. I'll try facing the v's in the same direction when I put it back on the cherry picker. Thanks.
if those legs/jacks don't go up high enough surely you could put some blocks of 2x4 underneath those screw in legs/jacks and that would be high enough to clear the hoists legs.
To get the engine on/off with the hoist, back the stand in so the worm gear is facing the lift cylinder. So that the V's match. Works perfect
lol, im planning on grabbing this hoist tomorro, i read the same review, but i was thinking the same thing, put the V's together

What if you would have tried bringing the engine hoist from behind? Maybe it would work that way. 🤷♂️
Could try coming from the back with the cherry picker. Looks like the legs would nest nicely.
How about a removable center leg, making it a 3 leg stand for mounting, then remove the center leg & install the 2 outer legs for working stability?
Modify the legs on the cherry picker so it can straddle the engine hoist...
Any concerns about longevity of the gear unit ? It's probably ok and 4 months is not enough time to really know.
Everything still spins freely as it should. Same motor has been on the stand since this video. I wouldn't be concerned at all.

Thats the solution 👍🏻 lol....or just start lifting the whole thing up and grab/ remove the lower stand from flywheel part while its all up in the air
Did it work?
Did it work? @@brick88nose
@@kbob14860 I never tried that method. I honestly forgot about attempting it before I just a chain hoist to lift it. Sorry.
Buy a beat up fork truck, best 2,500 you'll ever spend

That's why I don't like 4 leg engine stands.
drop engine and lengthen your boom
