I have rega aura and i think this is the best phono ever because rega is about music. Roy Gandy and his team are music lovers like me and that is most important.
I love my Aura, the dual out puts are very handy with xlr to my headphone amp and the rca to my pre amp so no pass through needed, it also comes with a Rega reference power cord that is a lot better than comes with most equipment comes with these days because Rega really does care about the music and it shows in all their products
Love watching your videos, having seen a few phono products from various hi fi retailers, I’ve yet too see one bigger and so expensive as this model from Rega! It’s about the same size as an integrated amplifier 😮
For that inflated price, you're better off with a good amp, such as Rega Elicit MK5. That has a cracking built-in stage. Or if you're going for a separate stage that punches above its price tag is Leema Elements. Works great with the Leema Tucana MK2.
Why oh why do manufacturers insist on giving capacitance options for MC, where it's pretty much irrelevant, and not for MM where it usually makes a huge difference - a measurable response difference of many dB.
...a few manufacturers (such as Darlington Labs) have both multiple settings you can choose from capacitance AND IMPEDANCE IN THE MOVING MAGNET INPUT....if people only knew how good a upper-tier moving magnet cartridge like an Audio Technica 540ML sounds at 38k Ohms and 0 capacitance and Audio Envy phono cables [20 pf PER METER]; many people would save so much money and many would sway away from moving coil. Moving Magnet cartridges are not horrible sounding; many just are not Shure V15V ans don't sound thier best at exactly 47k ohms/300+ pf capacitence !
The Rega Fono Mini A2D has an Analogue to Digital Converter (ADC). The USB interface allows you to transfer your vinyl to digital audio files. Conversely a Digital to Analogue Converter (DAC) takes a digital input stream and give an analogue output signal.
I own an Aura. It sounds very exceptional. Can't find the others that can beat this one with the same price range. I'm trying to find chances to direct compare with used Soul Note E2 and Accuphase C-47. Rega said its RCA inputs that can do full balanced amplification so I connected my Aura and P10 with the balanced cable.
Yet more evidence of how expensively indulgent high end vinyl has become. As someone else has said, this is turning into a Rega fan boy channel. A good analogy is stupidly expensive handmade designer wristwatches.

yes this is what i find most MC have a flat response and the impedance is very low so make little difference

This is turning into a Rega channel.
Rega is that good though.
It's because it's used as mainly a sales channel.
Used to have interesting discussions.
EXCELLENT
He's going on holiday again!😅

Sorry, no XLR input for about 6.000£????
Are the Rega moving coil phono preamps only suitable for their own cartridges?
Sounds like Rita Ora lol
I’m looking for a Rega aria mk1 phono stage if anyone has one
That is a big boy.
Salutations from Belfast Northern Ireland 🇬🇧
Probably work well with an LP12!😊
@@andrewlittleboy8532 . Oh the irony.
