She reminds me of PJ Harvey. Another strong resilient lady who's also beautiful.
Keep coming back to watch this, adore your energy nadine
She threw absolutely everything into that performance, there's no denying it.
Nothing short of magnificent.
first time I've heard her, wow pretty damn good, that ending is fantastic
What a performance. Just got into her music courtesy of BBC6 Music. Reminiscent of Patti Smith who also sang with attitude. Holiday Destination album well worth a listen.
Definitely should have won the Mercury! Wolf Alice are brilliant too but Nadine is pushing boundaries and challenging beliefs.
Fantastic performance...!!!
Ive been listening to music since the late 70's This artist is the genuine article. File next to brilliant British contemporaries such as Bowie, Kate Bush, Joy Division and The Fall.
Hhhahaahhahahhshhaah what you been sniffing!!!! A want some 😂😂😂😂😂
Epic
kocham ją
Too real and raw for the commercial x
astonishing.
It's a stunning performance, but the sound quality of the same recording was much better on Marc Riley's show this evening (19:00-21:00, Thu 13 Dec 2018), even on the tinny little DAB radio I have in the kitchen. Surely the BBC can upload better quality audio than this to RUclips?
Sooo magic
Well, I certainly enjoy the economy of lyrics and vocal tone. It's, ahhhh, you know, different.
Quelle puissance Et Quelle Energie ..
Fucking Brilliant
A duet with IDLES would be good.
une belle découverte pour moi avec une voix rappelant c'elle de PJ Harvey.
So, the front-of-house engineers didn't switch on the sax player's mic until 3:08 into the song?! (You can see him playing throughout, as well as beginning his solo several seconds before that, but ... zero saxophone sound until 3:08!)
YES!
nonetheless, the music was still powerful.
If you like the bit you heard, listen to his sax playing on Mother Fighter in the 6Music Live Lounge RUclips clip.
If hes playing rhythm lower down the register that might be why you cant hear it. If you listen carefully you can pick it up but its low. And other bands use saxophone the same e.g. springsteens born to run- low rhythm high solo. Im sure you cant hear the bass either can you. So similar thing. Also take into account its competing with pretty distorted guitar.
Nobody wants him blowing all over the song, so they keep him down until he's needed. Still, if you took him out you would notice.
Pj Harvey school. Much alike Anna Calvi as well. Not bad
She is cool as fuck
About migration. Socially relevant.
Fuck off. Talk about it musically for God's sake. Brilliant song brilliant message and meaning.
Yes it seems like a justification for the colonisation of the UK and I'm not having it. Bad guys don't like it when they're told they're the bad guys. My heart bleeds purple p iss
she needs a better guitar man in her team, i mean imagine someone like Joshua Hayward (The Horrors) and his garage-rock modus operandi. I mean to make her songs less chunky :)
But I'm here for the chunk 🥲
un petit air de PJ Harvey ,cool.
Stephanie Ortega pretending to be someone else
lmao this is just bad
awful.......
Finally, someone who with some sense.
You have both lost your fucking minds.
And what do you consider to be good?
You speak such nonsense
So sorry for my opinion....
Fantastic voice, shame the songs aren't.
This shows how empty rock music is now. The hype for this wannabe PJ Harvey is ridiculous. There's only one Polly!
Holiday Destination is the album the Hope Six Demolition Project wishes it could be (and I like Hope Six a lot)
PJ Harvey wannabe. May as well be a run-of-the-mill puppet of the music industry if she can't come up with anything original.
have your heard her other albums? i admit this song in particular is kind of odd, but i think it's a grower.
